People always over look clearances and it's literally the life of the entire motor, you could destroy the crank and rods in break in period with bad clearances, glad you picked up in it and you're doing it the right way

So true remember the b16b ? Was almost a wasted TypeR block thankfully it wasn’t as grave the one we did the block

Oh thanks for that man! All good I’m not all Honda it’s just there’s more Honda peeps locally, I did a few silver top 4age some turbo, and a local drifter’s SR20det engine what’s important is always double check and make sure on bearing clearances and if the bore is good then a good hone will give u a lot of benefits

Amigo I was checking a 1.4 mm metal head gasket and they said that is only for racing purpose only meaning probably that will raise compression to high on a d Honda engine or probably I'm wrong do you know anything about it
@SRDmotorsports Жыл бұрын
That’s 0.055” thick? So thicker than oem 0.026 so it lowers compression btw

@@SRDmotorsports impressive. what are your thoughts on stroker kits in sleeved b20 blocks? for built na set ups, is it worth it?
@SRDmotorsports2 ай бұрын
But it’s also why I don’t really dwell on such… as u notice Jasper’s b20vtec makes 225whp pero it’s been doing 12.5s for years no trailer and blaze lng pero we see more high power but slower so how’s that
@SRDmotorsports2 ай бұрын
@@ginobautista9393 depends Example (exaggerated example) If someone builds a b20vtec that’s as strong as a b16a ? Then maybe a stroker kit would end up being as strong as a proper b20vtec Like I mentioned, Jasper’s is at 12.5 with still excessive second gear spin if he can improve that and his driving? That’s an easy 12.1s on pump gas… a street car… So the “built NA set up” is really vague..: If gunning for a 10second NA racer then yeah that’s cool… But a stroker that runs with b20vtec street set ups? Kinda not cool
