Welcome to payday mate. When you first start you’ll only have access to buy heists at specific difficulty levels, just up to overkill or mayhem difficulty I think, and then at level 80 you can get the high difficulty. Just starting out you’ll be good playing the lower ones until you get the hang of it

Just a heads up regarding the commando 101. You said it’s part of the scarface dlc and no longer available, but that’s not correct. The commando is part of the scarface *heist* dlc, not the character pack. The character pack is not available anymore, and the little friend is unpurchasable, not the commando.

Would be nice if they could just add it back in but change it slightly so newer players, such as myself, aren’t missing out. I understand why they wouldn’t be able to give us back Scarface or the perk deck, but for the gun they could recolour and rename and it should be fine, or at least I think it be. Would be far from the first time they’ve given the players reskinned weapons.

Though still insanely useful, I feel like the OVE9000 would be a lot better if Saw Massacare Aced allowed you to replenish the blades (swap that out for the panic ability). I dunno if sociopath works with the saw (haven't tested it yet), but if it doesn't, it should.

snipers get access to piercing shots through enemies and shield plus they get to use graze shot. they also have: bigger mags, ammo pickup, faster reloads, several skills you can use and a higher firerate. Giving them more damage aswell would make bows/crossbows compleatly obsolete.

I have a duel crossbow build, and I’ve gotta say, it’s a recommendation from me if you can hit your shots with the crossbows. If you miss, you may just lose the bolt outside of the map, which is made redundant by ammo bags, but is still pretty upsetting when it happens.

Bruh, the money launcher was actually insane. Shame they had to remove it once the event was over, but I understand since it breaks game balance too much. Was basically a much better flamethrower with better reach than you'd expect, insane damage scaling, one tapped tans and even specials, said "F you" to shields, and took down dozers just as fast as an LMG and you didn't even need to headshot. (It even broke their faceplate too for your teammates.) Only thing that held it back was the trash reload speed and bad pickup to ammo consumption, but if you tap fired with it VS holding down click, the ammo issue could easily be alleviated.

I love using the flamethrower and the locomotive shotgun. With the overkill perk, you can double its damage and take out huge hordes. It's very useful and has saved some heists, even helped me do my first death wish clear.

I haven't tested it in recent times, but I have my doubts on Overkill fixing that particular bug, but in the past the Commando 101 launcher was able to benefit from Bulletstorm despite being a rocket launcher. Which was very fun.

Fun fact about Musk's "flamethrower". It's a roofing torch with a fancy casing, a real flamethrower literally throws fire in the form of burning fuel. All the boring company torch does is spew out flames which can catch stuff on fire, but something like a human will only get burned, not be set alight. Two states do have some explicit regulations regarding flamethrowers. California requires you to have a permit to own one. Maryland out right bans them (no fun allowed).

nah, the arbiter has one super feature: incindiary rounds because of the accuracy and long range, you can not only incin snipers with it, but it has massive crowd control abilities, even rivaling that of the flamers for the ability to pop out, launch 1 or 2 rounds and pop back into cover while enemies burn, and the radius effect is def superior to the contact jet of the flamers. its def one of the best secondaries at least on DW, but i can see it failing on DSOD from the lack of concealment, but the ICTV stoics and anarchists will find it second to none

I personally find the Vulcan to be less sustainable than the micro because of its lower damage and especially its higher fire rate that eats your entire ammo store in seconds, in my experience it’s easier to efficiently deal lethal damage in less shots with the micro especially with the shield stagger perk. I’m quite new though so if there’s something I’m missing I appreciate tips

One tiny nitpick I have, I think the micro gun should probably have beaten out the Vulcan by a little bit. My main reason for saying that is the slower fire rate and higher damage means you’re gonna kill enemies with less bullets spent. This isn’t really an issue on the ammo economy side rather the magazine, these guns are a pain in the ass to reload. I’ll take reloading less over slightly lower dps personally. I also don’t think concealment differences is super important on these guns because of the low base concealment and the fact that it’s a minigun, you don’t really want this on your stealth build lol (ik you were probably talking about concealment in terms of a dodge build but I think even then these guns are really better suited for an armor build). TLDR In terms of practicality I’d say micro gun, but if you want to be an absolute badass run the vulcan. Overall tho really great video, keep up the amazing work. I’ve recently started playing payday and these videos have not only been entertaining but helped me figure out what’s good and bad so thank you for that

While I don't necessarily agree with some of the rankings due to certain weapons having niche uses that give a lot of utility to a specific build, the video is still great and enjoyable to watch. @@b33croft while the initial draw is slower than the instant firing crossbows, the fast re-arm time makes it far more spammable, and the even damage doesn’t suffer at all (its actually higher than the light crossbow, if memory serves.) Even ammo isn’t a concern, because 50-57 (with a boost) arrows is generally more than enough for mosts heists, and even if one does run out, they can spawn even explosive arrows out of thin air with swan song and bulletstorm, which is something crossbows cant do. though, ill concede that swan song based strats aren’t viable on One Down. even without that, though, i’d argue that the group clearing utility and spammability of the plainsrider at the very least rivals, if not exceeds most grenade launchers. or maybe im just pulling crap out my my rear ‘cus i think it looks cool. hard to say.

You should try the Arbiter with the Incendiary rounds. It's practically a long-range area-of-effect flamethrower that lingers a bit around after firing. It's very satisfying to just spam a choke point and hear ZEAL's scream

Bows are one of the most difficult weapon to use in the game, yet also one of the most rewarding. Normal arrows, poison arrows, explosive arrows. Only the normal arrows are infinite, the other ones are not. Explosive ones are most effective during loud heists, as they make more noise (naturally) but are also pretty good against crowds. Bows also work well in stealth as they have good consealment, just don't forget to remember if your bow has normal or explosive arrows. If you're good with snipers, you might like bows too. It's possible to snipe snipers with a bow, however you'll lose the arrows as they drop behind invisible walls.

Default arrows can be picked up, explosive arrows cannot, nothing about poison arrows other than that it applies damage over time buff. I never really used poison arrows, which is also why I haven't got much info about them. I think you can pick them up after shooting. Unlike explosive arrows, they don't break on impact. Poison also works in stealth I think.

@@b33croft Yeah, I didn't really have an answer whether you could or couldn't pick them back up. At first, I thought you couldn't because it's special ammo.

Wait, when I use mk 1 flamethrower on cloakers, they don’t go in the animation but they don’t kick me. They even stop their charge if I burn them while they are charging.

This list is cool and all and I understand that the OVE9000 saws don’t really deserve a place beyond the top 15 (though they do make certain loud heists way easier) but if I was a Murkywater soldier and I saw someone pull up with not one, but two power saws, I’d shit myself.

This makes me wanna use my dual grenade launcher when I get home. The piglett + arbiter Able to bring double of ammo or medic bags depending on what's needed alongside a single of the other. Best part is I don't even need to use the ammo bags since making multiple units die at once makes them very ammo efficient. The only issue with the build is dealing with cloakers and bulldoazers. Oh, almost forgot. Use kingpin so you can live and breathe explosions.

Is it the mod I installed without reading its description properly or did Overkill added ammo pickup for rocket launchers? Cuz when I was playing holdout, I decided to take with me RPG, but then I started thinking, why the number of rockets didn't change
