A lot of different techniques have passed through my hands, but when I found my old Kodak Easyshare C813 and tried to take pictures on it, I remembered how much fun such old cameras can bring. They are easy to learn, have excellent picture quality and do their job well. Moreover, it is fast and without unnecessary problems. No need to bother your head with unnecessary settings, carry heavy equipment. It makes you remember one simple thing, because it's not even about the camera in your hands, but about the person yourself and how you sees and what you photographs. Such minimalism and simplicity allow you to be creative and turn disadvantages into advantages, and the simplicity of the process brings great pleasure and allows you to take more pictures, explore more, without worrying much about the final quality of the pictures or are afraid that you will damage expensive equipment. Because when you relax of that kinda worries, you just enjoy the process that brings you enjoy of the photography. And It's so great. o(´・ω・`)o📷💥🍩

Such excellent points! 👏🏼 love what you said about simplicity as well as the practical aspect of carrying minimal gear. It becomes less about seeking technical “perfection” and more about exploration and spontaneity - 2 things that are vital to the creative process, and for fun as well

I thrifted a coolpix L21 a few days ago for pure nostalgia only as one of them was my first camera, back when I was like 5 I think. I broke when I was 8 so getting one now 10 years later just takes me back to that time, and I can confidently say that with a bit of editing, you can actually make the shots look relatively professional. It's all down to practice though. I remembered the limitations of that camera and how I used to work around them, so I got used to it again pretty easily. I'll say if you got this now, invest some time into it and you won't really feel the limitations

I picked up a kodak easyshare c875 for $10 this past week, and I've been having a blast with it. I've used several digicams (this is the third easyshare I've bought, though all have been different models), but this is certainly the most fun I've had with one

I think a lot of the draw to these old cameras is #1, they can still be had for next to nothing and #2, they give a nostalgic tactile aspect to picture taking that is lacking from smartphones. I have a few small digicams that easily fit in a shirt pocket and a lot of the time I'll pull the camera out before the phone simply because I enjoy holding and using the camera more.

I started to see these old digital camera videos. So I went to my box of old cameras. (I never donate them) and found my 2 pm vivid and the I have several Nikon coolpix from 7mo to 10 to 14. I have a coolpix 4100 and it’s plum colored. It’s so cool. My plan is to label that little camera for a project and only take similar photos

I kind of like the 'out of focus' when things are moving by.. taking a photo while walking will catch some things in focus and others are blurry and I love that, it's like real life for me, more so than if I took it with an Iphone and it captured everything. My mind can't capture everything. btw, I have Nikon Coolpix, s4100, s203 s6 (which has wifi transfer, so cool) and I have a couple of sony's that are borderline because they are too good.. the hx99 and the rx100 iii

🍩...I have shot with a lot of these vintage consumer grade cameras. They usually had tiny CCD sensors, which may contribute to their "film look." These cameras were fun to shoot but I don't think I became a better photographer because I was having fun. My pictures still sucked, and they continue to suck to this day. Which has made me realize that I have trouble enjoying the photography process. I focus too much on the results...but you can never be happy when you do that. Your video reminded me that simple cameras are good at helping you enjoy the process of creativity. The process could actually be the best part of creativity.
@b3naqua7 ай бұрын
Excellent points! The process of any creative activity can be easy to ignore, esp when our world & algorithmically inclined culture is screaming at us to constantly make the BEST final product OR ELSE lol (capitalism ugh). But simple objects and a minimized mindset can sometimes remind us that art can be fun and memorable. It's a vessel for our experience.

Hello Like older digicams too. It realy a lot of fun to shoot with. My favorite are the Lumix LS Models. Belief it or not, if knew your camra very well, you can get good results out of them. Gteetings from lower Bavaria and have fun with your camera :-).

@siofna97097 ай бұрын
@@b3naqua I try to explain. The LS Models and other Panasonic cameras you have the option for making automaticaly three images of different exposures, so you can create image with higher dynamic range in post. A second feature is in one oft the night scenemodes you are able to raise up shutterspeed to 60sec. At the moment I carry a LS80, because I will make this year some slideshows of sample pictures. Sorry for my worst english and have a nice time :-).

Ben, This is the way the world looks. Even with every setting OFF on a cell phone there is still some processing. The pics are called Snap Shots for a reason, quick and dirty shots of the world....like advanced polaroid's. The battery issue is possibly because it is 14 years old...they were not like that out of the box. I have other thoughts but I can't type well today.
