B52 Bombers and U2 Spy Planes at Fairford UK

Managed to catch Minot's BUFFs leaving Fairford 8th June 2016. Also a U2 Dragon Lady popped in to say hello and the BUFFs put on an excellent return show!!

Minot AFB North Dakota 1970-1973 with the 5th FIS. Yup, a SAC Wing there with the B-52 Buffs at the ready! They also maintained the Minute Man ICBM and Silos. We had two Elementary Schools and one Junior High School on the base, so it was fairly good sized Cold War Base.

Had to go to RIAT at Fairford this year for work. Wasn't sure what to expect but it turned out to be a great day, the various display teams were amazing :)

I lived at Faringdon during the Iraq War and saw these come home to Fairford from bombing runs, and as they came in low over the house, I saw one had huge nose art, "The Grim Reaper."
