Thanks for bringing up o2 sensors. That was my biggest concern. All the local N54 boys here go through them constantly. Good to hear it probably won’t be a problem for our cars.

Very thorough as always, looks like a nice kit. Thought your point about being able to use ots tunes was interesting. I have a Vargas gc with a custom 93 and E85 tune. Not very happy with the 93 tune, and have been considering trying my mhd ots maps instead, you think it’s safe?

Yes, it'll require the DME to do extra compensation on fueling and things like that but it works. I still always recommend a custom tune for the best experience

It's not ideal but it's not going to prevent it from making power.

I’m ignorant on this subject with these cars so forgive the dumb question. With the revised doc race kit that now comes with different PTE turbos and external waste gates, is it still possible to run an OTS tune? Are the external gates controlled by the internal waste gate somehow?

no it won't work properly. you need a reflex hooked up to the external wastegates

Nice! I check the DOC race website, it seems for 2 port supra and your car, the kit EFR8374 turbo can be used. For supra 6 port Precision turbo is used. Do you know the reason? Thank you!

They have efr kits for all of them but just added the 6 port precision kit. I'm guessing 2port will come in the future

I watched your 550i clutch install video. Can it handle the power you're adding. Or will you upgrade the clutch again?

The plan is to prove out how far it can go so I can give some data on how much torque the clutch can hold. But I believe it can hold 550-600wtq reliably.

1st gen is in cars from 2015-2019, then the TU showed up in a few cars in 2020. Everything 2021+ is TU.

Definitely possible and you wont need port Injection. You could even do it with a dorch stage 1.

@@brandondunn3584 i haven't seen a RHD engine bay, but i assume the manifold and/or downpipe interfere with the steering rack and/or brake booster. It may fit but wasn't designed to fit and they haven't tried fitting it on a RHD car

@@PrevinPather I actually have a 440i, but it has been very reliable. The only issue i had was losing coolant, but it was fixed by replacing the cap on the coolant reservoir. I was talking to somebody in Egypt with a similar situation. He got a custom tune for the fuel quality and his car has been running great. I'd highly recommend getting a custom tune if you want to push the car.

kern417 awesome man, congrats on the turbo. Im torn between the doc race and the big boost with the Garrett turbo. I have not seen anyone yet with that set up but i know Garrett is one of the best along with Borg Warner!

@@matthewdasilva5871 Juan shared some data and the Master Power turbo actually made more power with a wider powerband vs the garrett on his kit. It really surprised me. But the garrett is definitely a solid, reliable turbo regardless.

kern417 Garrett is huge, do you have any future plans with building your motor? Wondering why you picked the larger tubros vs the smaller ones. Was Big boost in considerstion?

@@matthewdasilva5871 eventually yes. But this is the smallest turbo offered with the kit. I can go up to a 9280 to make 1000+hp in the future. I like that it's modular and easy to swap turbos when I'm ready to turn it up more
