The arrow is supposed to be pointing down ?? Is that right ?

The arrow is for airflow as you can see. The dirt was caught on the top side of the filter meaning is sucking in the air not pushing so the arrow is pointing down in this case to match the airflow. Even some manufacturers put it in wrong from factory. I’ve had this issue working in Volkswagen many times as they follow letter orientation instead of direct of airflow.
