Thank you for the visiuals. I'm about to do the same job. My setup looks pretty identical compared to the front of my 97' V6 Audi A4 FWD 12V. I thought I was gonna have to put it in full service position and disconnect the driver side upper radiator hose, it's going to be a tight squeeze! I also didn't realize I would have to remove the tensioner pulley as well. Looking at all the vehicles with their alternator just sitting at the top of the motor just makes me what to cringe at the job that awaits me. 😂

Is there another way to jack up car in the front of the a4 so I don't have to use the pinch welds on the sides? So I'm able to put my jack stands easily.

I just replaced the purge valve & the camshaft position sensor. My car would smell like gas in the cabin every morning. It doesn’t anymore but if you have any tips on what else I should look out for it would be very helpful 🎉

My ESP light came on, car had no throttle response, pulled over then shut the car off, after that the car wouldn’t start at all, come to find out my timing belt broke off, my original engraved timing marks are still aligned, therefore did I bend any valves?

Yo Crafty. Is there a trick to getting the back hose off? Mine is really stuck and I don’t want to damage the hose. Thanks

use a pick tool, to gently separate the hose.

Hi, do you happen to know where the cabin radiator of the Audi A4 B8 is located?

Is it the same procedure for a 3.0 motor? I have a 05 Audi A4 3.0

I have been doing all my own maintenance on all of my cars for over 40 years. I recently acquired a 2006 Audi A4 B7 from a relative.. 63K miles and I've already done 3 of the items on your list.. Was wondering if you have a video of the rear coolant flange R and R? That is leaking on this car and it is my next goal! By the way, I really like your videos! Straight forward and you explain in enough detail the important steps..

Most clear tutorial on youtube, Thanks! Can you do a video on cam chain in back of engine too?
@marcellobarr16599 күн бұрын
Good video! Question, i have a A6 with the same engine. Is it possible to change timing belt ( front ) and cam chain ( back ) with engine in the car? Or must the engine be removed entirely? Keep up the good videos! 👍
@CraftyWorkshopBuilds7 күн бұрын
you could definitely do the timing belt with the motor in. I'm not sure if you'll have enough space to remove the bolt for the chain at the back. But I was able to remove chain on the b7 audi with the motor in, it was a tight fit for my tools, but it worked.
