This video was made as suggested by Raul, who I would like to thank him for his e-mail. Hope the video answer his question.
In this video, we talk about how to set up the FMC to intercept VOR radials outbound and inbound.
In both cases, I like to utilize the fix page to at least, have an indication of the radial as a reference.
Outbound intercept:
1- Put the VOR as the first point in the legs page.
2- Take it again to the scratch pad and build a way point with the radial you are plannine to intercept and track. You need to have a distance as well. Use 50nm or any distance that is more than you think the clerance is going to be. Remember this is just an intercept and usually you will have a direct to fix or a different clerance in a short time.
3- Put this point that you just made in L2.
4- Reselect this point to the scratch pad and then put it on top in the legs page.
5- Verify the INCP CRS, and make it big. Then excute.
Inbound Intercept:
1- Put the VOR on top in the legs page as if you want to proceed direct to it.
2- In the intercept course, enter the bearing to the VOR, for example to track radial 180 inbound the bearing is going to be 360.
3- Make the INTCP CRS big, then excute.
Comments are more than welcome, if you have any topic in mind please let me know as well.
Thank you
