how do you send the vertical speed to 6000 feet and sending it to autopilot? How does that work?

Sorry for the late reply. When the AutoPilot is engaged like in this video you don't have to anything else to send it to the AutoPilot, because it is part of this system and will execute what is being "told" through the the Mode Control Panel. @@flighttraineraviationapps2454 The aircraft will not ascend without giving the vertical climb command to the aircraft. You are giving wrong information.

@@flighttraineraviationapps2454 unless you command the aircraft to climb or descend vertically. The plane does nothing. Either you will enter it from fmc. or you will do it via mcp panel. Please do not misinform.
