As for the air intake muffle pipes.. There are aftermarket intercooler pipes that eliminate the connection to the muffler. Then you don't need to fabricate a cap. I think I got my new intercooler pipes from Integrated Engineering.

If you do everything as he said, wouldn’t the extra air and boost cause the Check Engine light to flash ? There must be some other things to be done like exhaust, flash ECU, etc

Hey naptown, I could really use your expertise on the 2.0t Tfsi. I have a 2010 a4 and while driving it just shuts off randomly. Once I pull over and restart. It drives perfectly fine? Any idea where I should start diagnosing? No vag com unfortunately but working on it.

I would say you're needing carbon cleaning. My car was doing the same I did the TB carbon clean and it helped out a lot. Will do a full one when it's spring
