Getting past ancients would be the issue with moments of grindings a mob and exiting the game. Frankly if it involved a lot of that then "Meh, its more interesting as a blaze through normal at very high speed."

Thx for the video was fun watching thru! Gz to that WR! :D I have a question regarding the items for the run. Im a very casual console Player that picked up the game about 6 weeks ago. I play offline so there is no trading for me. I started keeping no req. and decent low level rare jewels and also found some nice no rq Bases but im struggling with the decent rares. I started stashing normal circlets to imbue em on a low level but what is my best bet farming those gg low level sorc items. Do i just need luck to have low req on rares i find on my MFing chars in hell? Or is there some sort of strategy to it that allows to targetfarm? I really wanna do this for fun and to farm sockets for my valuable uniques and setitems. Would be glad for a reply. Greetings from Germany 8-)

Interesting run, Should just do pre generated map aswell and make all gear slots with best possible prefix/affix combinations, then practice it. This would shave off alot of time, most of the d1 speed runs were done on one map seed

I had no idea you could find items with level 10 skill charges that are able to be used at level 1. As I understand it now, you'd need to find an ilvl 98 short staff for a chance to get level 10 charged bolt charges? Meaning that, before Terror Zones were introduced, finding that staff or a similar item would require farming Hell Baal maybe a couple hundred-thousand times on average to get one without any additional prefixes/affixes that raise the level requirement? That's bonkers. I wonder if some mad lad out there came across such an item legitimately.

No you can shop one. You need a character at least level 91 if I remember correctly. And you need to shop a long time (because not only charged bolt suffic is rare, but you need to have nothing else). Also if you shop with a non sorceress, it will appear requiring level 6, but it will level 1 for sorceress. Another nice item is a lvl 10 sacrifice scepter, ideally with a little +dmg. Also very long to shop...

@@jopied_ For NG+ pretty much impossible, and also a little bit annoying anyway. Because this would just result in farming for ridiculous amounts of time to get those exact items to drop anyway before doing your actual runs. So the run itself wouldn't change at all, just the preparations beforehand.

He used a tool to create the items with perfect mods/rolls. You can edit your single player files on your computer to alter gear/characters/etc As you correctly surmised, all the items used are legitimately obtainable but doing so normally would take ages. For the sake of this speed run-which is primarily about your execution-the items were edited in. Being able to recreate the gear and consumables whenever you need also makes it much easier to practice and perform attempts.

i will never ever understand why this game allowed the teleport spam, even in pvp in this so damn weird\cheat be like, it should have a cooldown or sort, like a big cool down, to save you when in danger and optimally use it , especially in pvp. also for runs \farming it is litterally "ok let's just streight teleport to the boss" but instead of cheat code one single time, u spam it for 40 times to reach the boss room...

those items can all spawn legitimately in the game.... he could have farmed all that beforehand just for doing this speedrun, but what's even the point to do that. This category only cares about "how fast can you go with the best gears" not "farm everything yourself and then speedrun"

also like to point out that when you hold WR and then get first split gold by a whole minute, its basically confirmed that you are running this "category" by yourself alone. so every time you get some improvements you can farm out a new video with WR in the title. quite a neat little grift. i wonder if a lot of other runners do this sort of thing too.

The goal of this run is to see how fast the you can beat normal with any gear afforded to you. You absolutely could farm all the gear but that would be so tedious nobody would ever do runs. Editing in the gear is the lesser of two evils in a sense

Moba: start Game, go to lane, kill ads, poke enemies, gank or be ganked Shooter: run around, jump, hide, shoot, kill or be killed Arpg: run around, kill stuff, farm, complete build, farm more or dont It's really every game that offers replaybility can be broken down into basic tasks, the gameplay decides of people will do it or not. =)
