Geeta Dutt'ji's painful voice gives the song a realistic outlook , seems that Ravi Shankar Sharma sahab made the tune keeping in mind the painful voice of Geeta Dutt'ji ( I feel so ) . Equally well written by Shakeel Badayuni sahab , the music director's favourite lyricist . Parag uncle , thank you for this number . 😇

@@ParagSankla In an interview Ravi had given a colleague and me, he mentioned that this song was composed last and wasn't in the original film. He said he realised that it was a Guru Dutt production and there was no Geeta Dutt song in the film. He says he then suggested to have back-to-back songs of the wedding - one from the boy's side (Mera Yaar Bana Hai Dulha) and this from the girl's side.
