In this Slay the Spire gameplay, Baalorlord does an Ascension 20 run with Ironclad. First, he gives tips on choosing a path and a starting bonus. I was struggling with the defect heart kill but I played through it while watching this run and we overlapped so much. We kept the same pace throughout, fought the transient at the same time, fought time eater at the same time, reached the shield and spear at the same time and started the heart at the same time. I stopped there to watch your fight and just finished mine. Came out victorious with you B)

you mentioned that Boot is a bad relic. However, I discovered that it ignores the Intangible effect of enemies such as Nemesis, bringing your damage back up to 5. It's an always take for me now.

Finally beat A20 Ironclad (no heart yet) after learning how to use exhaust synergies properly. I won with Corruption, double Dark Embrace+, double Feel No Pain+, and Barricade. Took 0 damage in the last 2 boss fights. Less than a month ago, I didn't value exhaust cards at all, hard to believe it got me one of my strongest runs ever.

Took me a while to understand the exhaust strategy too. I used to go out of my way to avoid corruption since the card scared me. Baalor definitely deserves credit in helping me figure out how to use cards like that probably.

iron wave is also worse than dash because it loses more (and gains less) stats in most situations. with iron wave: when weak or vulnerable, you lose 2 attack or block (40% of the card value), and when the enemy is vulnerable, you gain 2 more damage (+40%). with dash: when weak or vulnerable, you lose 3 attack or block (30% of the card value), and when the enemy is vulnerable, you gain 5 more damage (+50%). every 4n+1th block/attack on a card provides much less value than the other points of block/attack. also, silent's cards are on average individually weaker than iron clads, which further makes dash desirable (compared to iron wave).

Everytime I use Smeko eye all my cards costs 3 energy and I loose. Sometimes I feel like we're playing a different game. I'm at ascension 16 and it looks harder than your runs at ascension 20
