So one day a player at my local gamestore rolled 5 nat 20's in one night. I bought that dice she was borrowing, it wasn't properly balanced and was indeed more likely to crit then crit fail. In a perfect world dice jail wouldn't make sense but manufacturing errors exist.
@beemz88414 ай бұрын
Doesn't sound all that unlikely. If someone makes 20 rolls in a session that's still a 0.3% chance to get at least 5 nat20s. Which is not exactly impossible.
@cameronschyuder90344 ай бұрын
@@beemz8841not impossible, but still rather unlikely, and at the very least should be looked into.

@@beemz8841More likely when you factor in the # of players, but the reality is dice variance due to weight distribution is a somewhat common problem with certain types of dice. This is more common with gimmick dice, like if you watched critical role Tali LEGITIMATELY had his average roll go up quite a bit with the gifted die and they even concluded it was most likely not weighted properly... But being poorly weighted goes both ways unless it's a spin down since you also end up with the lower results around the 20 more often for example.

Timestamps for when Baalor picks up the cards in the thumbnail (Catalyst and Blade Dance) and relic in the description (Ectoplasm): Ectoplasm: (23:46) (Act 1 Boss) Blade Dance: (25:40) (Floor 18 Combat) Catalyst: (1:00:20) (Floor 42 Elite) This Ectoplasm ate all the Silent's gold while her poison ate away at her enemies!

Hey, I swap out my dice when I'm not rolling hot! Not because I believe it's doing anything, just because it's fun to pretend and it gives me an excuse to get different dice out of my massive collection :)

33:24 resting when you have fairy in a bottle + alchemize, and an unupgraded wraith form? there's no way that's optimal. i think even he knows that since he discarded the fairy after the very next fight.

I've been taking flying knee more lately. It's definitely a great utility card. Especially which a skewer. Recently had a run with two flying knees and a skewer obtained act 1. Surprisingly worked extremely well. The flying knees gave me the energy i needed each turn.

If it didn't have the damage attached to it. It would be a hell of a lot worse. Given that it does a decent amount of damage and saves energy it ends up feeling pretty good early and decent later.

Shivs can feel a little weird into Guardian, and he already had a decent form of damage output, especially being able to Well-Laid Plans and keep Skewer for big turns where he doesn't have to block. That being said, he had such a great setup for Shivs that Blade Dance would've been great regardless. The Crippling Cloud was a weird choice, but I'd imagine that the logic was that he'd be fine without the upgrade, which he was.

When you considered which card to upgrade around 1 hour and 8 minutes and you were talking about upgrading the Concentrate I was thinking that the card is actually better unupgraded in a Pyramid situation, is that correct?

There's a lot more to decks in Spire than number given to how the mechanics work a smaller deck is not always the more consistent one with status, creatures requiring certain conditions to be met or you get punished and other things a bigger deck can be more consistent hypothetically since it has a larger toolbox to deal with more situations. He's talked about it in the past. I'm not saying smaller decks are worse on average I'm just saying that with so many variables in Spire a bigger deck can definitely be better depending on what is in the deck. Lack of quantity doesn't necessarily grant quality.
