Baba, if is my understanding from my association with Africans n the US would not be served food with the left hand. Not sure if this as a singular occurrence or was more widespread . I have seen/witnessed where a server in a restaurant was told to take food back to the kitchen because he attempted to serve the dinner with his left hand. I am not sure where this originated. He, the professor who spent time in CA and in Nigeria wasn’t aware that the server was left/handed. The left hand is on the left side, which is associated with the feminine side. It’s also the hand/arm closest to the heart. Orunmila’s bracelet therefore, is placed on the side of the body closest to the heart. Thanks for the lesson on Baba Odi Meji. Haven’t seen the movie you mentioned I worked with Africans in the 1970’s in NYC in a publishing company. Two of the editors always prepared the food and we often ate together.. interestingly, they ate ripe bananas with all of their meals, unless we were out at a restaurant.. The guys and I often ate together, especially when work had to be completed.

The compound Odu’s of Ifa are very different from the singular Odu’s of the Dilogun. Ultimately Ifa must be interpreted based on the persons characteristics and rank.

These days, you're sht out of luck- money before mankind, sucks but truth. My husband did a reading for a Doctor and the sign Iroso Umbo came out, which means you should help the person as much as possible and guess what - he didn't charge for a thing. Those days are gone due to GREED

Sometimes just hearing the advice of an Ifa consultation can resolve a persons issues, but ideally they would be prepared for recommendation costs to get the best overall outcome
