My view on this has always been: it my partner’s responsibility to make me feel comfortable, secured and trust him with my love, heart and our relationship (As it is for me to make him feel the same ) in the presence of his family, friends and friends of different sex. Indaba iqala lapho. If someone respects you enough, setting boundaries, teaching his people to respect, putting people in their place and things like that won’t be a problem.

Yes, they know things are supposed to change but because some women basile, they’ll do certain things as ‘friends’ to make the meddie feeel their presence in the man’s life. I really believe in partners putting each other on a pedestal (to prioritise each other and make it clear to other people in their lives that the partner comes first in a sense) and setting boundaries. It’s very important!
