Most likely the reason they are so quite and stone faces is this one of if not her 1st live performances and before this show people and critics she is studio produced and didn’t think she could replicate the performance live from the studio version

Now Why would yall react to this version😭.. these Mtv Unplugged performances from her for the most part are more laid back meaning she doesnt go full ham like she usually does and give her all, so PLEASE if yall actually wanna see her best lice performances pls dont do the Unplugged ones, only the Emotions and Ill be There ones were worth it, instead for this specific song do live at the Grammys 1992 or at SNL 1991. The Grammys one especially since it’s considered one of her best performances of all time in her entire CAREER!!

⁠@@JadeK297 you’re right the SNL performance is the best out of the “If it’s over” performances….the live band everything was exceptional and the passion where she sang is no match…the Grammy performance Is good but the SNL one there’s no comparison all the res of them have the whistle and that one doesn’t….but her Adlibs fit right in to it doesn’t make me miss the whistle at all
