Sis...just trust me and give a try with cold chill Coconut Milk yr murukku will be so so crispy...the secret of my recipe is trying with butter and using cold chilled coconut milk. Hot oh warm Coconut milk will make yr murukku hard sis..so dont use hot milk..and also dont use planta instead use butter.

Its around 260ml of cold coconut milk or as long as the dough does not stick in yr hand the milk level is enough sis.

@@maroon1015 Hi sis..did u add the correct amount of butter? Because if to much butter also it may break...for 1 packet ONLY use 2 Tblspn of butter....than secondly is you dough hard oh to soft? Because if to soft also it will break.

U can use tea milk but it won't taste the same sis. U can buy box coconut milk oh fresh coconut milk for a better taste.

Hi Rina sis..I tried your method..muruku taste was excellent..but please help me to clarify why the dough is braking when I want do round shape and after that I put in oil also is braking not in round shape..at last I do like omapudi only..

Its because u hv add to much butter sis...u must make sure to use the correct amount of ingredients and butter as I mentioned sis..

No sis it won't be nice without butter. The muruku will not be as crispy as this if without butter.

Thanks for the recipe, Ms Rina! But can you please specify the range for the volume of coconut milk should be used in this recipe? Like how much coconut milk should I prepare in advance? Is 500ml sufficient? What if I prepared too little milk, or if I added too much milk to the dough? It is difficult for us beginners to learn without the proper measurement. Any estimation would be a great help for us.

Hi sis. As I said in the recipe there is no exact measurements for the coconut milk, while u doing preparing the dough u will know how much milk u will need. U hv to feel the dough to be soft as easy to press out in the mould. If the dough is little hard u will find it difficult to press out from the mould so just feel the dough to be soft and easy to press out and add milk accordingly. Tq happy trying.

For 500grm muruku flour u need ½ box of santan mix with water. There is no measurement for the santan and water as u need to add little by little and see the dough.

Murukku flour is made of rice flour...u can get it in many supermarkets oh Indian shops..you can ask for ready-made Murukku flour

My murukku is breaking when I twisting it out ,I fried the broken ones it was very nice and light and crispy , .where did I go wrong in the in the dough 😕, thanks

If it breaks that means butter oh Ghee has increased a little sis..and another thing is when u twist the murukku out dont raise the mould to high, the mould has to be as low as you can when twisting the dough out.

Planta and margarine are the same sis...you can use planta oh margarine but Butter will give u more crispiness.

No sis for this recipe we normally don't add cumin. If you can't find Ajwain seeds its ok sis just skip it because normally in the ready-made murukku flour they already add a little Ajwain seeds.

Hi Rina, cool tutorial. Just wanted to ask. I bought this product and the directions written on the packaging seems to be a lot simpler requiring only Ghee if I am not mistaken. Have you tried it just like that? I am just wondering. But I will try your recipe for sure except for the Ajwain seeds which I don't know where to get :D

Hi Shaiful...the secret of this recipe is to try the way I did for a better taste and a crispy murukku. Please do not try the way its written at the back of the packet because it would not be as taste and crispy as the way I do....please follow the way I did and u will really enjoy the crispy ness. U must use ais cold coconut milk and butter yah than only the murukku will be crispy. Dont use planta. And for the ajwain seeds u cant find in and Indian stores oh shops. All the best in trying and dont forget to sent a comment on how it turn out.👍

Done! Very satisfied with the taste. Just needs more practice to get the crispiness right. Right now it is somewhere between crispy and hard. But really tiring work coz my mould is the press type instead of screw lol. Thank you for sharing the recipe again!

Oh that means u might hv added butter a little extra sis. Even today I made Murukku using this measurement of 2 tblspn Butter and 1 tblspn Ghee and it turn out very well sis..
