DA Origins is (present tense)10 times the game Veilguard is. How did Dragon Age devolve like this? I really don't understand what happened.

How is it any surprise? You have to be intentionally not paying attention to not see how EVERYTHING is pushing the woke agenda down our throats!

It’s pretty simple BioWare isn’t the same company as they were back when origins was released the people making that game cared new BioWare does not.

The latest patch now shows recommended levels for each quest. And the ones who used the most "modern-day language" was Taash and Neve. "Protocol" has been used for ages. I'm loving this game and I'm on my second playthrough. I'll be playing this game for quite a while because I'm trying to do every single thing there is to do in this game. And Bellara is my favorite. She reminds me of Liara in ME1. Cute, brilliant, but sweet and socially awkward.

"protocol" is a super old word, origining from the Greek. The meaning we have today is close to the 15th century.

That's the issue, it was used in a manner not fitting of the game's medieval fitting. It was using a more recent definition of "protocol" post medieval timeframe.

@@Babblingboolean They also say "Ok" a lot, which is an extremely modern word... originating in the 19th Century. Its kind of the same as them having a repeating rifle, or telephones, or Cars

There’s a whole questline to beat a string of dragons in Inquisition as well. No offense, but that’s not new. Like Veilguard, you had to level enough to do them, but you beat a ton of dragons in that game.

Because DA: Origins is so great is the reason this game should not be judged as an independent RPG.

I’ve enjoyed this game, got 50 hours into it, and kind of like Inquisition, the more I play the better it gets.

It's my favorite DA since Origins. Story + writing are better in Origins, but Veilguard is more fun to play for me.
