The SNES version of Sagat's theme will always be my favorite. I've always felt that the SNES soundtrack was more focused and impactful with its versions, especially the horns, and Sagat's theme is a great example of this. The little chimes that lead in and pop up are great, the instruments just sound clearer, and the horns and percussion really help with the song feeling hype and amping up instead of the odd supposedly serene dissonance almost conflicting with itself. Plus, the guitar riffs are peak. Also, thank you for showing me the purple stage for the first time. I've never seen it before and it looks so sick.

I always had a soft spot for Sagat’s theme in Alpha 3 mainly because I feel it fits more as a character theme for Sagat than the stage itself. It really gives off this intimidating vibe that you are in a fight against someone who can destroy your lifebar if you are not careful.

I clicked so fast on that video. I've been waiting for that one. As a kid, I did not know about the Reclining Buddha and it's significance, so I remember seeing this stage and wondering why Buddha was chilling like he was on vacation. I actually went and looked it up in a encyclopedia.

Never thought about it as a kid, but in hindsight it's really bizarre how one of the Four Kings, the villains of Street Fighter with an eyepatch and menacing towering look, could have such a colourful stage and upbeat soundtrack 😅

When I was a kid I created my own cannon that the statue was his wife who died. Before I learned about Buddha I remember being confused how is budddha since the statue isn’t fat 😂
