Open beta = no signups needed, just go download it come February the 20th on Playstation, Xbox, or PC! Crossplay? Well they didn't actually say but I will assume since they have been very adamant from the start that all versions of the game will crossplay with each other. Another 2 video day! Don't forget to check out the Mai Shiranui Street Fighter 6 Breakdown posted earlier! As for the beta, I really, really, really hope Tizoc is in the build. I have been blessed to get hands on time with the game twice now, and neither time was Tizoc playable(but he was in the very first build, which I didn't play lol). As a T. Hawk enjoyer I have an affinity for very large mexican people dropping people on their heads. I know Tizoc is no King of Dinosaurs(tizoc fears KoD), but I will settle for a KoD cheap replacement copy.

I'm so excited for this game, I had only ever heard whisperings of the Fatal Fury franchise until this game's announcement and your videos on it, but the art style and characters have sold me completely. Also I didn't know I was living a lie as an Axl Low main until your lore video explaining that Axl is basically just Billy Kane, and I've never been more excited to play a character than I am for Billy.

Just wanted to shout out that Fatal Fury 2 the SNES version just dropped on NSO today so if you wanted to play that classic title then here is a great opportunity. It's not the Neo Geo version so it isn't considered the "best" version, but as a game that is essentially free to try for all NSO members everyone can go and give it a shot.

FG is all about legacy and every single franchise that tried a "new generation" of characters except Tekken 3 failed miserably. The only reason Tekken 3 didn't fail is cause Tekken didn't start being Tekken until 3. 1-2 were just cheap VF clones. People want the classic characters.

As time goes on the cost:benefit to dumping an existing fan favorite for a newcomer only goes up. Think about it from the studio's perspective. Would you rather 1. Start from scratch on a visual design, story, gameplay design and so on (that may require a bunch of additional tuning over time) for something your players might not even like, or 2. Save some or even most of the initial creative work coming up with a character's design and mechanical identity, for something that you know your players like because a bunch on them are begging for [character] all over the Internet. Updating established character concepts is easier, faster, cheaper, and usually more popular with the typically heavily legacy-biased and nostalgic fgc end user. When it comes to characters, the incentive is to make just enough novelty to make a game feel fresh and give newcomers a place to start on (more) even ground with returning players, and not a shred more.

My senses are stimulated! Mai was playable at Tokyo Gameshow, so its definitely her. I WILL FIGHT YOU on Geese, him being dead and staying dead is what makes FF great, especially since its about Geese's legacy. Geese tower will be for Mrs Geese. Darn, now I am in total goose mode. I would accept a DLC zombie Geese with a classic Geese second skin though.

Geese Howard will return in Art of Fighting, where he's alive and well with no plot contrivances needed. It seems pretty logical that the remaining 4 spots in Fatal Fury's launch roster would go to the remaining 4 Garou characters that are still missing. Later content is where I'd expect Nightmare Geese if any Geese at all, or as surprise bonus content like Rugal in KoF15. Andy, Joe and Mary are my guesses for the remaining DLC spots next to the Street Fighters they've been hanging out with in SF6.

Why are they doing this so close to monster hunter wild? Strive 3v3 beta did as well, taking place alongside a major SF6 event. UNI2 crippled itself on day 1, coming out two days before Tekken 8. It cannot be that hard to look at the competition and their schedules and adjust your plans accordingly.

If it were up to me I would skip a PC beta. Cause devs can’t risk important information getting leaked months before the game launches. Plus, cheaters will use a hacked version of a beta to get ahead and learn the game before anybody else.

Dude keeps talking about Geese coming back because Bison and Heihachi did. A.) Bison can technically never truly die as long as psycho power exists. B.) Heihachi never actually died to begin with. It's always a did he or didn't he and spoilers, he never does. SNK actually gives a crap about their lore so I'm pressing X to doubt here. I could see Nightmare Geese as DLC that has nothing to do with the story but that's it. Prove me right SNK.

People so hung up on one guy staying dead when he's already come back to life once, and came back to life twice in the KoF timeline. Spoiler all they have to say is he never got rid of the scrolls(like he did in kof) and hes back, easiest thing ever.

Yeah, because we like the lore and story that SNK has built and maintained for the most part. Now how about you actually learn the lore you claim to know so much about. Geese has only ever died once and NEVER in the KoF timeline at all. Back in the first Fatal Fury, he was presumed dead but was just seriously wounded after the fall because he had one of the scrolls of immortality. After obtaining the rest of the scrolls of immortality, he had Billy get rid of them for fear of them falling into the hands of one of his many enemies. Fast forward to the end of Fatal Fury 3 and Geese dies for the first and only time after refusing Terry's help. The events of Fatal Fury 3 did not occur in the KoF timeline at all and therefore Geese has never died in that timeline. As someone with a KZbin channel who actually gets views in the FGC, it's a real shame that you spread so much misinformation when it comes to the lore side of things in these games.
