Kat's voice is so crazy and incredible with her scream and plus when she sings in a high sweet pitch at times her voice comes off freaky and scary like a psycho but also a very slick badass chick. Her voice is a force of mother nature or something when screaming. It's insane.

I’m glad I explored more grunge/punk bands of the 90s because while I like other bands more, I really enjoy Babes in Toyland. The energy is definitely there. And it shows a more punk side to the grunge scene that they were associated with.

@@alexxander808 When most of us started hearing of the genre "Grunge", it was connected to bans like Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Temple Of The Dog, and other bands with a more soulful, sometimes bluesy sound. Lots of us did not immediately connect it to just any sound that came out of Seattle in the 80s and 90s.

@@AFloridaSon Grunge wasnt solely formed in Seattle there was San Francisco, Portland and Minneapolis as well. Mainly Westcoast for sure though, yeah I I understand why you feel that way. Being this many years away though from the corporate machine and being able to just analyze it from a creative standpoint Grunge to me is simply a production style and there are bands from that exact time that dont have that production style which makes it evident it's not just the era. Steve Albini is a major contributor to that production style and hes from Chicago like the smashing pumpkins.

I was at Jr. High in Richfield when they made this video and two girls in the know from my class got to dance and mosh around the band in this. I went on to cover this in a high school talent show, without anyone to sing. A very approachable act, they treated us all like family young and old. These girls are Goddesses to me, and I’ve yet to hear a boy band that holds firm on their commitment to rock as they do. Not with the scene, they ARE the scene! I cannot name another group that put some meaning into my life for me when I really needed! The value that they bring will go on to no limit because this seriously inspires countless souls, and in a very bright and bold way. THANK YOU BABES!!

A fundraiser won’t help. It’s too late, they told her back in 2015 that if she didn’t stop doing drugs then she’d die in a few years. I think she’s at a care home now. Someone thought about doing a fundraiser, but they said she’d just use the money on drugs and alcohol.:(

One of my favorite song openings from this era, those 3 clangs of the cowbell is 100% gold! It is reminiscent of something Tommy Lee does , towards the end of "Livewire" Both are gems. Of course I do not know her personally, but Kat Bjelland seems like she would be awesome to hang out with, like the type of person you'd have a whiskey-shot drinking contest, or play mumbly peg with. Same with Kim Shattuck from The Muffs. She had way "too short of a season" I am fortunate to have seen them play St. Andrews Hall in Detroit, circa 96'
