This was impressive! The guy tore that motorcycle down to the absolute bare bones and totally rebuilt it to showroom new condition. I was to rebuild a vehicle one day and right now, I can only dream to be as good as this guy. Two thumbs up and hats off to you, buddy!

if you look closely, the paint is shit, he even spray painted the rubber parts and insides of the engine. You should never do that. That is far from showroom condition

Beautiful work, and no smoke! Most two-strokes I've found that old are a mess, but you made it right. I was worried when I saw you painting the spokes (I assumed you were keeping the old ones!) I wish I knew as much as you do when I was your age, I could have saved a few mopeds when I was young. I have never seen someone restore brake shoes like that, and I'm thankful to have learned here (what did you use for the braking material?) FWIW, I was taught to never use the impact hammer unless the target was against something unmovable (like anvil-solid) otherwise the slack risks stripping the drive head. I'm guessing you had a new timing belt, but considering your ingenuity I wouldn't be surprised if you made that one yourself. In all I hope you're proud to ride it -- I would honored to ride your restoration.

but to begin with, this renovation is certainly not a beautiful work as you say so, everything that was possible was sprayed with silver paint, including the inside of the engine and the inside of the brake, the motorcycle certainly does not look as it should and has visible engine defects(like its too slow), this moped comes from my country and even I own it, I'm even younger than this man and I repaired this moped myself and I don't want to brag, but I can definitely say that mine looks better than this one, even with the fact Im still a teenager

Luckily he had a camera man waiting at the very spot that the tyre went flat.! Bike has been sprayed with an orange/ brown liquid, apparently to imitate surface rust. These people never clean the machine before starting to dismantle it,( that would show that it has been deliberately 'rustified.') Nice finished product though,😅.

Dolezite je aby fungovala aj druha automaticka rychlost pre babetu . Spojka je dolezita v motore. Moja babeta ide 55 km/h. Mam babetu 215 a babetu 207/356 . Spotreba 1,5l/100km. A dolezite je vycistit nadrz znútra dokonale.

@@mirosuchar9518 Jednodušší, ale přesto mnohem méně známý typ 215, byl vyráběn spolu s modelem 210, skládal se ze stejných dílů jako typ 210, ale neobsahoval komponenty dvourychlostní převodovky (unašeče, řadicí čelisti, volnoběžku, hnané a hnací kolo). Na řadicí buben byla napevno navařena výstupní hřídel, a tak je převodový poměr nastaven stejně jako druhá rychlost na typu 210. Typ 215 potěšil hlavně řidiče, kteří vyžadovali maximální spolehlivost, ale zároveň i nadstandardní výbavu a komfort. Worked on a few of these, many identical versions with different names. Despite all the rust etc this one appears to have covered very little distance at all. Very basic transport compared with today's mopeds . I am now into my 80S but remember how often they came into the workshop with niggling faults.

I would trust this mechanic on restoration of any vintage motorbike. In fact, I inherited a 1964 Vespa VBB from my dad. The Vespa is in the shop and being mechanism restored to its glory days! I can't wait to ride it.
