What if you you could have a custody battle? Where maybe a layer came to your house lot and both parents had to present why they are better suited for custody, and it would be calculated based on parent income, relationship with child, traits etc

@@fuckdatmf3144 Not everyone can install mods, so it just makes even more gameplay unavailable to some players. I think there would probably be a cheat to 'skip' the divorce process anyway, or even an option to disable it.

I would really love it if Sims who have the "hates children" trait would actually react negatively to being pregnant and not magically be happy, and be in a bad mood the entire pregnancy, etc lol. They also need to add a "keep the baby or place for adoption" option once it's born. I get annoyed when the traits don't tie in with the emotion system.

i also hate the common phrase, “there’s cc for that” because all it does is disregard valid concerns players have about the game and invalidate console players who don’t have access to cc. I also know many people who have problems running cc on their computers.

I actually have found a way to get CC on console and it works for me, if your on xbox just get the xbox app on your PC, go into the games files and it should be self explanitory from there.

I want more for teenagers. They don't even go through puberty apparently. I want acne, growing, periods, embarassing situations, awkward romance. The teens are just young adults that are in school and when they become young adults they just continue to uni instead (if you have that pack)

NinjaKarin exactly! How can you have a life simulator game without some of the most crucial parts of life. Puberty might sound like an odd thing to want but the kids are literally 8 and then shoot right up. Sometimes it doesn’t even feel like the same kid. Sims need to add an update that is revolved around growing up. I know it might take a little but they need to more for kids and teens, or at least give us preteens.

Iggi DIY it feels like there’s something missing in between toddlers and children but I can never put my finger on it. Toddlers seem around ~2? (I’m bad at guessing age) and children are ~10-12. I want like maybe an age range of maybe 6-8. They aren’t totally dependent like toddlers, and almost as independent as children but still have that younger look.

@@Jessoreos I have complete oposite. I play usually with white sims and most of the generated sims is from brown to deep dark skintone. It's kinda annoying that majority of the eyes are "asian" eyes so game generates mostly those sims and here is lack of diversity in my game. Also sims come with very strange body tipes, almost unrealistic - especially men, most of them have narrow arms, big bellies and skinny legs ;-;

Same. I have a rule rn that my sims can only have 1 kid because I don't like the idea of one kid having a good life controlled by me and one just doing nothing then dying. Like one time I had twins and one was an actor and the other was a football star. I controlled the actor and the football star ended up dying and she never achieved anything in life and she never got promoted in her job either. So if they changed that I'd feel happy about having more than one kid.

I’m a control freak, I don’t mind NPCs doing their own thing, but wouldn’t want any of my playable families to age, have kids, get married or anything else like that when I’m not controlling them! We definitely need better relationships for extended family members though, they don’t even treat their step-kids as family unless you adopt them as care dependants, same with in-laws! Any further than first cousin isn’t treated as a family relationship either, I caught one of my sims getting it on with her dad’s cousin! Just eww!

I can't make a black person without cc. The darker skintones look weird and ashy in sims & we don't have a lot of skintones in general. I'm happy that they made some new hairstyles I could give my darker Sims, but it's still not enough... I think they should work on the black eyebrows too. If you use them on the ashy skintones, they look kind of weird although I can't put my finger on why they look weird.

I personally didn't put South African City in the top, just because of all the countries they could do, they picked South Africa, which has one of the highest white populations in Africa. i have a family with like 16 kids and in the story they're all supposed to be close and once the first groups of kids aged up and moved out i have to be like their nanny just checking in on them to make sure they're not being stagnant (which they are) because part of the story is that their kids are successful (unless I say otherwise). For the emotions option, I considered how rarely sims react to messed up situations. Had my sims get a divorce and none of their kids have any moodlets from it, It's like it didn't even happen. Same with kids and teens not reacting to parent's arguments in any way. I just want the sims 3 system back.

@@byefelicia9252 The parenthood pack adds more variety to teenagers, like phases, mood swings, chores, personality traits that build over time, etc. Also, I feel like a high school pack would be too similar to the Discover University pack we recently got. My appetite for school-related content was pretty well satisfied by the DU pack, and I would like something completely new and innovative. Also, high school is very specific to teenage sims... I prefer packs that are more widely useful and apply to a broader range of households. Something like modern love/romance, or the shopping malls, would have more longevity, or broader usefulness, as far as gameplay goes. I feel like the packs that focus on things like going to school or work are very one-and-done experiences, in that once you've done it one time, there's not really much reason to again (the university has several different degree programs, which help give it some minor replayability, but the gameplay is overall the same each time your sim goes to uni). I like the packs that add expanded, universal gameplay, the kind that continues being useful and interesting for many different households. Dine Out, Fitness Stuff and Seasons are good examples of that kind of pack, in that every household can go out to dinner at a restaurant, every household can benefit from additional fitness interactions and the earbuds, and every household can enjoy the changing seasons and holidays. The hyper-focused, experience-driven packs just don't have much in terms of replayability. Take Strangerville as an example; it's interesting to play through one time, maybe twice, but afterward it goes largely untouched (aside from some of the CAS and Build items, of course).

In the Sims 3 they were born with two traits and they were based on either the pregnancy or genetics, so for one of my households both parents had the athletic trait so the baby got the athletic trait as one of his traits. I’m fine with babies in the Sims 4 being born with a permanent trait as long as this means they’re also expanding the slots to 5 (like Sims 3) and adding a lot more traits in.

Yes, and she picked the options that are most universally useful to people who can't use CC. More people are going to get use out of body hair and scars than would get use out of the other options. Yes, representation is important, but statistically speaking, the other options are not as broadly useful. For example, body hair and vitiligo are not currently available as official content. Out of everyone that plays Sims 4, out of all the sims that exist in the game world, how many sims will benefit from having body hair options vs how many will benefit from vitiligo options? I'm sure both would be used, but I'm positive people would use vitiligo options far less often than body hair. So, of the two things that can technically be covered by CC, which is more important to include as official content, and which is niche enough to be left to CC (even though some people, unfortunately, can't use CC)? If I had no access to CC, I'd much rather have the things she picked than the things she didn't pick. Body hair and scars have wider usefulness for CAS than heterochromia, vitiligo, prosthetics, etc., even if they're not quite as unique.

They would also have to have an 'accessible home' section of build kind of like how they have it for tiny homes, where they would explain what items you need to have it be accessible. They would also have to come up with a non-cruel way to show the disabled sims struggle to interact with inaccessible places. There will be other issues. For example, it they add only non-ambulatory wheelchair users, then some ambulatory wheelchair users (ones that use wheelchairs for connective tissue diseases and chronic pain or fatigue) will feel like they aren't being represented. I dunno but I think it's an endeavor worth attempting. EA knows you're not going to please all the people all the time. Having prosthetics would at least be a good start.

I took this survey before watching this video. As an European, I only know American high schools through stereotyped movies and I couldn't be less interested in them. Which is sad, because my brain just went "Ugh, I don't need an obnoxious teeny drama movie in my game" and put it on the last place. After listening to simsies take on the possibilities of this feature made it sound a bit more entertaining. All in all I wish we would have been given just a bit more information about these ideas. I don't need schools that work just like the universities, but giving them actual classes, cliques and maybe even little events with their tests at the end, would be pretty nice.

I'd love for when Sims reach the elderly stage they gain a new trait "Forgetfulness" basically with their old age they forgot things so maybe some things from the queue gets removed since the sim forgot what they were suppose to do. Also i would love more gameplay for toddlers, like maybe if the children and teens go to school and the parents go to work instead of getting a nanny the toddlers could go to daycare! And it'll be like get to work where you can go with the toddler to daycare while everyone else is out of the house. I know there is a mod for daycare but still it would be awesome to get a daycare pack! Sims 4: Let's go to Daycare!

I would love to see that integrated with a "Preschooler" stage and a playable daycare profession. Sims can be employed running a home daycare, and toddlers can be placed in a neighbor's dayhome if one is available, or the Daycare Center, while preschoolers may be enrolled in preschool at the Daycare Center, or kindergarten at the school rabbithole. Hiring a nanny instead is of course still an option for families that can afford it for either stage. Toddlers and preschoolers can be sent to daycare or preschool alone, or if both parents are employed at rabbithole jobs and all older children are going to school, toddlers may be followed to either daycare. If a neighborhood daycare, it loads the neighbor's house, with the neighbor and other children placed in the dayhome, and if the Daycare Center it loads a large community lot type facility, with a toddler floor on level 1, preschooler floor on level 2, and some staff only areas on floor 3, other toddlers will spawn on floor 1 and preschoolers on floor 2, adult caregivers will spawn throughout the building, and in both cases you have fun goals to complete like in a Get to Work career or the old school mod. Preschoolers may be followed to preschool, which also loads the Daycare Center,but cannot be followed to kindergarten. Toddlers will get a message an hour before daycare, and they can pick Send Alone, Follow To Daycare, or Stay Home Today (if an adult or teen has the day off to watch them), preschoolers get the same message for preschool with one additional option, Play at Home, which will assign a task such as "raise x skill", "play with toy", "play with stuffed animal" "talk to one other kid" "talk to a caregiver". Preschoolers in kindergarten get the same choices, minus Follow, as Kindergarten is a rabbithole. Now if only I had the modding skills to actually make all my awesome ideas for this game...

Totally agree about daycare, much more realistic for toddlers. I nanny, and most parents will hire in-home care for babies, then transition to daycare around age 2-3. As for the forgetfulness trait, not really a fan. Firstly because that sounds like a pain in the butt for gameplay. More importantly, as someone that's seen 3 grandparents go through alzheimer's or dementia, that doesn't sound fun and quirky, it's just kind of upsetting to think about, and I know lots of people have been through similar experiences.

About the forgetfulness trait: i was thinking it’d be more like an optional trait. Like how toddlers can be “clingy” or “independent” etc, but have a version of that for elders with different options, and forgetfulness included but not mandatory.

Yeah, it's annoying to not have a height slider, but it's a necessary evil. Variable heights would make the animations not fit (think getting into bed, their heads wouldn't be on the pillow properly, or cooking, their arms would clip into the counter when chopping ingredients, etc.), and they're not about to make separate animations for every different possible height.

You know what I would love? A preteen life stage. Instead of going straight from child to teenager, make Sims go through that in-between stage! It'd make the game even more realistic. The existing toddler stage is way too big a jump from babies. Maybe redo the existing toddler stage into a "preschooler" stage between toddler and child, with the added feature that preschoolers can be enrolled in morning or afternoon preschool/kindergarten, which counts them as off lot so if the adults leave the lot the preschooler won't need to be sent to daycare or a nanny need to be hired, until they get back from preschool, or if afternoon preschool, the nanny will be dismissed or kid released from daycare once preschool starts, while at preschool they learn skills and are taken care of, and a few different tones are available so the player can affect skills learned, but the parents do not have to enroll a preschooler in preschool if they don't want to do so. Then add a real toddler stage, more like toddlers in earlier games, who sleep in cribs, need to be given a bottle or breastfed but can also be fed in a highchair, need to be taught to walk and talk before they can grow up, and have to be carried by a teen or adult (maybe allow preteens to carry babies and toddlers, but preschoolers are too big and need a teen or adult to pick them up) to leave the lot or get in and out of cribs and highchairs, toddler trait is picked at age up from baby to toddler and stays until age up from preschooler to child, then one trait for children, two for preteens, three for teens, and four for adults. And babies should be separated from the bassinets, and either sleep in bassinets/one tile "infant cribs" like we had as CC for 3, or the same cribs as toddlers like in 2 and 3. The game would just be better with all stages represented... and preteens in middle school would get rid of some of the ridiculous discrepancies between children and teens. We could have the age stages representing smaller ranges... like babies are infants under 1 year, toddlers are 1-3, preschoolers are 3-5, children are like 5-9, preteens are like 9-12, teens are 13-17, young adults are 18-40, adults are 40-70, elders are 70+. The game just makes no sense with toddlers representing 1-5, and children representing 6-12, there's just so much development in those ages and a 5 year old and a 1 year old should not be represented by the same character model, same for 6-7 yr olds and 11-12 yr olds, not the same age range at all. It would make aging look more gradual too, with smaller height jumps...

At the very least, make changes to the teen's faces so they look younger! Changing their heights would unfortunately mean they'd have to make new animations and I doubt they would at this point, but they could totally change the facial features.

I freaked out when I saw Scottish Highlands as an option! I really hope they can include Scottish scenery/culture into the game somehow, I feel like Scotland gets kinda overlooked a lot which is sad. I'd also love to see more UK/Irish culture in the game regardless. But it was so hard to rank the "locales," I put Scottish Highlands as number one but Italian Vineyard, Greek Islands, Spanish cities, Korean cities, Chinese countrysides... all of them sounded so amazing. I'd love to see more towns/culture that resembles these countries (and many others) in the game, I feel like its an aspect that could make us all feel a lot more connected to the game. I think that's why I like Windenburg so much because it resembles Germanic countries so much.

Well, they can add police, or the sim can say no or show up a warning like do you really want to do that? Then you can say yes ir no, If yes, it shows: Are you sure? Then again, yes or no, and then unless you say no it'll be in a cycle forever saying things like ARE YOU FUCKING SURE? And maybe, in the 1000th, it would show Ok you daemon, your sim is in prison now. Crazy person. (Nothing would happen, before the player could do anything, they would go automatically to prison, no woohoo) Yey. Also, I just think it's funny to show up those messages in stuff. Also, you could just take that out, but it's less fun. And It would be more cool If the sims could actually say no, like, no matter If you have 100%, full bar, in the relationship thing, the sim could say no. It would be fun.

I don't think a feature like that would be implemented even if it received a lot a votes. Different heights means different tuning for every single animation in the game, especially the ones with interactions between sims. All the animations would have to be updated so it looks right for each height option. I would say it's not a problem and the sims team can do it, but there are hundreds of anims in the game. It's a lot of work, when the devs could be working on something that will add more gameplay or create features that make the game more interesting and fun. Anyway, I've always like the thought of having more height options, especially when it comes to teens and children who grow at their own pace. That's why people have made mods for it, so they can have their height sliders and have fun with that.

No i selected that as well. Just want that level of representation in my game I know its been mentioned before and has caused some controversy but for people with disabilities that want to have the option and representation available to them I think they should. It would also be a good way for abled people to gain awareness of some of the things that disabled people have to deal with and think about in terms of accessibility etc. thus making them more aware of the struggles and perhaps even encourage them to show their support in making things more accessible for everyone.

I’m from the highlands of Scotland and I have always wanted my culture and landscape included in the sims. Imagine the Highland games, highland dancing, castles, Celtic themed things and Lochs (lakes if you’re not Scottish) where you have a community lot beside it and potentially see Nessie pop up now and again as a reference to our myths and legends!! Now that I seen it was and option I want it even more!!

This is one area I'd like to see more of for whims- whims to interact with family members not in the household. A loving parent should want to talk to/see their adult kids (and especially grandkids!). If people are close with their siblings, they should specifically want to hang with them or if they're family-oriented or good and alienated with their sibling they should want to reconcile (which would be more interesting if they introduced "grudges"- did someone cheat on you or blow up at you and trash the friendship? it shouldn't go away after a day of being grumpy- maybe with a "therapy" option to help get rid of grudges you don't want)

When she said we have a lot of European things in the Sims, my jaw dropped. Hi I'm an European and the Sims has like 1 world which is inspired by Europe (I think its called Winderburg, the one from get together) and that's it! We want more variety, the Sims to me feels like an American based game, and yes I know that the producers are American but..helloo wouldn't you like to see something inspired by Madrid, Paris, ROME (yes I'm Italian, I'm kind of biased)
