I really wish they improve "Memories" like not just taking a picture as actual but we really need a "Memory album" with the calendar and options like "New home" "First kiss" "First pet" sims can remember and that affects their relationship with other sims and pets Other example "First vacation", "First party", "Drama with..." This can improve a lot our gameplay !!

Speaking of the December update....has anyone noticed a bug with the showers where the Sims never actually get clean using them? They just kinda stand in the shower forever, and the cleanliness level never goes up. I've had to switch to using the "bath" actions only.

I think the issue is only with the bath/shower combos, you should be able to get clean in a normal shower

I literally thought I was the only one. NPCs who came over to my sim's house would get stuck in the shower. Preventing them from getting back in the shower after debugging them was annoying.

I was thinking for the CAS additions we would like, we could “set more in-depth relationship status in CAS” that maybe we could implement the relationship statuses already in the game. *For example, acquaintances, passive parent, lovebirds, etc.* because these are already imbedded into the game I feel it would be easier to achieve whilst still giving the depth we want. I want cats and dogs to be fixed and looked at. This is a game pack? (I think expansion) and it adds the least amount of stuff I’ve seen that’s truly useful to the game. I wish you didn’t have to be pay for a whole new stuff pack just to get a hamster and some more clothes. I wish it was just In cats and dogs and then it would be more worth it.

You know it's not just terrain paint thats the problem, try alt placing an object and moving it into another object, it just bugs a bit then teleports through. I hope by initiated romance, we get to choose to reject or accept the marriage because i think it would be funny. Designing a resort and running it would go well with island living though. The go on an outing seems like you would pick it and everyone would disappear to me. I would use a ski resort world more than a camping world. The problem with the aspirations in TS3, my sim had a kid and they finished their aspiration by the time they were an adult. When I got to the pack question, I wanted to do like 10 because I want more in all of them so I can play more. I like the way you pick the first 3 expansions. Like/dislikes could be good, I said small traits like needs glasses or prefers cafes to nightclubs. Aww, happy ending. I love this gam toooo.

And also in the University expansion pack, your sims don't go to their classes immediately and they're usually always late, sometimes notifications come late too. Even when I remove all my mods it still happens. I don't have a problem with it when they go to work/school though. I hope they fix it :(

I would LOVE an introvert/extrovert system in CAS. Extroverts make friends easier, but Introverts make good friends easier. Extroverts gain skills faster on community lots, and introverts gain skills faster at home. It could also effect interests and moodlets.

"Realistically you can't just put everything in a pack" ... please, let's not pretend that Island Living was worth an Expansion Pack price? It's a Game Pack with how little features are in it. And no Stuff Packs are worth the price besides Laundry Day (which still should have been Base Game realistically). Compare how little you get to do in a Stuff Pack compared to a Game Pack and tell me it's worth the pricetag, in comparison to a GP's pricetag lol. Looking at it that way, I think saying they should have been in another pack makes sense imo. Tiny Living should have been in University, not the Tiny Lot feature but the Murphy Bed definitely looks like it was left out. It's like how we have to pay a whole Stuff Pack price for Hot Tub; they leave these items out of EPs or GPs where they should be (and in a few cases, actually used to be in older Sims games) and charge us a lot more for them. Going to have to disagree with you there, the community isn't wrong. Plus, you get all your packs for free from EA. So do you even realise this problem with pricing and how little you get for your money? Do you think The Sims 4 is worth over $500 or however much it is now for everything? Even half price it still isn't worth the cost really. There a plenty of open world games that sure, ain't The Sims but still have a lot to do and a lot to them mechanically for very little cost in comparison. I agree with you on a lot of things in this video, but players definitely have a right to complain about this shit. The franchise as a whole is fucked up, and no other company would get away with this.

I agree with this 100% but we still have to consider the fact that ea most likely gives them a small budget and time to work on these packs. The packs feels extremely lackluster (except seasons but it still could be improved). There's should be no reason why cc creators create better content for a game than a team who made it.

If they do a winter pack then it should come with a world that is always snowing you won’t need seasons so it won’t be like my first pet stuff as in you won’t need another game for it to run but you can only get snow in that world that it comes with and you get all the other objects clothings Funchal stuff I think it would be better this way for everyone and they could make the world really beautiful like cottages cabins covered in snow!

Hoping for an always snowy map (maybe with iced over rivers for ice fishing and skating?), and if you had Seasons there would be snowstorms, etc, but otherwise it'd still be covered in snow! For the game interferance gameplay, wish they had something in the gameplay tab for that. Like I don't want vlad coming by my house but I know some people just add that into their RP. Or with the relationships, maybe I want full control over the sims life but if you want to dabble in the NPCs being a part of it, just hit that slider. YES to a hotel. I was thinking with the new NPC roommate option in Uni pack maybe could be manipulated into a hotel. My additional notes was about the non matching woodtones and the blocky textures of older items, those should be revamped to fit the modern graphics

My all time favorite pack was the Sims Vacation, where you could choose between different Vacation Types, even in Sims 2 you could choose between a Summer Holiday or a Mountain Trip. I would love to take my Sims on a real Vacation or own and run a Hotel in one of these Worlds. I would actually cry if their coming our with a Vacation pack.

CAS edition, I was asking for more skintones, makeups and also a wider range of hairstyles for the African-American Sims. I also asked for 2 different types of teenagers like we have for adults. I also asked for better clothings especially for elders, children and toddlers. I also did ask for the ability to pick colors and patterns for outfits like we had in Sims 3.

@@Framlii Even if it doesn't work out, it seems that it's shown EA that people are unhappy with certain things about the sims and now it looks like they're willing to work on some of the issues. Whether that's due to competition or not, who's to say, but I do know it would be really dumb of EA to underestimate indie developers. Look what happened with SimCity. Or with Roller Coaster Tycoon. When your fan base isn't satisfied with your product it opens up a spot in the market for something else to fill it. And again, that's nothing but a good thing for us. I don't understand the point of arguing this lmao. If you want to be pessimistic that's on you buy there's no need to go around ruining everyone else's fun.

Strangerville was fun the first time and even the second time I played, but I would like it more if they had maybe a mutated mother plant that comes back with a vengeance. Something that would make me want to play again. Maybe even add an alien invasion or something.

Yeah, I felt like it was one of the only packs with actual gameplay elements that mattered. It's a shame it's only really playable once because it's the only game pack that felt creative and like an actually good bit of gameplay imo.

Yeah, I also picked StrangerVille. I would like more mysteries, both smaller and bigger. It took only three hours for me to play through the story. I really love the environments and the style of the things in the pack, but the story only being properly playable one time made me a little bit disappointed.

a concept i have thought about: an anxious trait. lots of sims get really mad if you say something mean/they don’t agree with. if there was an anxious trait this person would gain a whole new relationship level of hidden anger, and wouldn’t get mad if a sim said something they didn’t like, they would hide it. there are obviously more factors that would go into this but this is just a concept.

honestly, the sims do a hell of an awesome job with community feedback and implementing what we want. people in the community just like to nitpick and ask too much of a pack. i was talking to someone about the fact that people were asking too much for the tiny living stuff pack by saying they should add bunk beds and loft beds ALONG WITH the bed they are already adding because budgeting and it doesn't make sense on a marketing standpoint to charge less than what they put into the game, and they said "the sims makes millions on their games, it doesn't cost millions to put bunk beds in the game" so like....obviously some people don't know what a budget is.

I mean, they have a good point, though. Modders make packs that are just as large if not larger than official content packs for absolutely no cost, and that's not a rare occurrence. Oftentimes the objects in official packs are simple meshes or recolors of existing items, and as someone who makes both of those things often I can tell you right now they're EXTREMELY easy to make. I don't have an issue with the devs, because they're always crunching time and clearly care about the game. It's EA that is pushing them to put out half-baked, garbage stuff. To be clear, nobody has ever asked too much of a pack. The people asking for "more" (just asking for a pack that is worth the money, which none of them have been when the time it takes to make them versus the price is considered) are often coming from other video games, where paying $10 can get you a full expansion pack of much higher quality and quantity than a sims pack. And those video games actually have complex game mechanics, with harder-to-model and code items. It's not nitpicking to notice how the Sims expansions are extremely overpriced when compared to literally every other game on the market, including their own CC-makers' content. Budgeting is absolutely different than overcharging. As I said before, most games charge $10 to $20 on a full expansion pack, and would charge $5 at most for a game-pack sized dlc. These games deliver TONS more content in these packs than the Sims ever has, and they still make good money off of those "low" (fair) prices because consumers purchase enough copies to cover the cost. The Sims has one of the best fanbases for making blind purchases, and the money they make compared to the money they put into the game is absolutely absurd. Look, I get not a lot of Simmers know they're being robbed because they only really play the Sims and other simulation games with microtransactions (not a bad thing, it's just sort of the truth), but those of us who play games all the time aren't mad because we're nitpicking, we're mad because we've played enough video games to know what, in this current market, games and their dlc should be worth. Yes, there are absolutely nitpickers out there, but asking for something to be priced fairly to the consumer isn't nitpicking, it's being a decent human being who doesn't want giant companies to be able to exploit the naivety of their consumer bases. Adding more content to an overpriced pack *does* make sense from a marketing standpoint to *most* companies, because *most* companies, especially in the entertainment business, will lose consumers if their products are poorly constructed and lacking. EA is not operating on an average marketing standpoint. EA is abusing their market to push out overpriced, underworked games, which not only negatively impact their consumer base (most people cannot afford $600 of content just to enjoy a half-baked game) but also their developers, who are not paid nearly enough for the amount of content they have to rapidly produce, and who are overworked in order to produce mediocre stuff as quickly as possible. It's not cool to be mad at the developers. They've shown time and time again that they deeply care about the franchise and want to see it prosper. It is, however, very much cool to point out how EA is overcharging consumers while underpaying its workers and forcing them to produce broken and lacking expansions that are extremely expensive compared to every other game on the market. This is a nearly six year old game. Old expansion prices haven't even gone down. Packs are still being churned out rapidly with devs given no time to put any care into them. Calling this stuff out isn't nitpicking, it's being a person who cares about consumer and worker exploitation by giant companies who are making too much money compared to what they actually produce and offer.

For polishing I said cats and dogs in the hope of horses, outdoor retreat because I genuinely love that world and I would like for them to open it up to residential, and dine out because the restaurant works so badly but I really love the idea of working with them. I brain farted on the CAS question and said makeup and accessory slots. I can’t tell you how many times I wanted to change a sims pronouns or have a decent mid tone between dark tan and black as night but I really did just blank. Lol

Okay one thing though, if they do make a resort pack in the mountains I really hope it’s NOT a vacation world. Honestly the vacation worlds are so pretty and I never use them because my sims can’t live there, and it’d be a shame if they made this beautiful alpine world and you only ever see it the three times a year you remember vacation worlds exist. Also i really hope they base it outside of the U.S for once, since so much of the content is geared towards here it’d be nice to see a world set in the Swiss Alps, Banff, the mountains of Japan or even somewhere like the Carpathians.

I'm here in August/2021 after this survey was taken by the Sims community back in January and I HAVE TO SAY: everything we were given in TS4 this year, all the great packs, all the amazing free updates, all the bug corrections and EVEN a game pack refreshing improvement, was due to these survey answers. I honestly think it’ll be really cool to have an expansion pack, called “In the suburbs” or something, and if it came with a new place that looks like England or something, and there would be like the different parts, eg) the boardwalk at the beach with a Ferris wheel (doesn’t have to be playable.) and then you’ve got the main part which is where townhouses are. Except your sim wouldn’t have to own the whole townhouse, just one townhouse. Then at the beach you could have prizehomes and your sim could enter raffle tickets, the house would be fully furnished. I also think it’ll be cool if we had like tourists that walked around. And you could see them taking photos, and if your sim could have the option to ‘photobomb’ the photos.

I am so excited about this survey... I really hope some of these things get implemented- specifically the relationship ones! I was thinking that hopefully we could get more specific traits, more niche ones that can add more specific reactions in game. Like maybe a diva or a coward would faint when there's a fire, etc. All of my sims react the same way to everything and it makes the game less spontaneous and slightly less enjoyable. I also think favorites would be a big part of that... a favorite food, music type, tv genre, etc that they'd gravitate towards in game. Colour wouldn't really have an impact in game, but if they could have a favorite colour and nicknames that'd be the best

I wish they would add apartments to other worlds other than Sam myshuno, because like other places have apartments not only big city’s. Like small town have smaller apartment buildings and like what if I can’t afford a house right now or would just prefer to rent a apartment but don’t want to be in a big city. And I understand that like apartments where like the key feature of city living and if they added apartments to other worlds it would make it feel like you don’t have to buy city living to get apartments in general. For the favorite Sims portion, I chose the Grim Reaper, Agnes Crumplebottom (love how she hits people with her purse lol!) and the Landgraabs, because I created my own Landgraab family for one of my playthroughs. The brother of Malcolm Landgraab who has his fortune stolen by Malcolm, so he has to build his wealth back up while taking care of his fractured family.
