I absolutely love this racket. It’s the first babolat I’ve ever been able to use. I have chronic arm problems, but I’ve been able to use this with absolutely zero issues

What is your string setup in this racket?

I’ve been messing around with it a lot. RPM blast feels great at about 52lbs but doesn’t last long. Tourna big hitter silver 7 feels great too and has so far lasted about 5 hours of play with no big dropped. I strung that at 50lbs Both 17 gauge

Great review! I purchased a matches set of 100 16x19 for my kid back in January but the 4-1/4 grip size all of the sudden became an issue (too small) so we’ve decided to test all the Pure Strikes before buying a new set - in the correct grip size. (As a side note: yes, I added a plastic shrink sleeve to build up the grip but by doing so, I changed the racquet to 9PH HL at 342 grams. Too much for a 15yr old) Anyhow, I was hoping my kid would like the 16x20 for more control vs the 16x19 but it still has too high of a launch angle for her game. The 98 16x19 was pretty good but “slower” than her current racquet but Interestingly, the the PS 97 was immediately a winner (for her game lol) lots of control on the ground strokes, lots of shred and spin with very nice net clearance, very fast in the air and maneuverable… even though, it checked in at 332 grams with 17G poly and 1X overgrip. The 97 frame is visibly thinner than the 100 or the 98 so, that’s probably why it’s faster.. (?) Please review the 97, would love to hear your take on it. Thank you!!

Nice dig there. Little question here: in terms of stability and forgiveness, how does this PS 16x20 compares against Yonex 100D and the Dunlop CX400 Tour?
@Max-pm3ck7 ай бұрын
I tested the new 16/20 pure strike 100 for a few weeks niw and i really liked its stability. Have been playing the pure Strike 100 16/19 for a few years and somehow those 5g more on the new one and the more narrow string bed feels way better, at least for me

Hi! How does this Pure Strike 100 16x20 compare to the Pure Strike VS 2017 or the Pure Control 2014 (295 g)? Thanks!

Long time viewer first time commenter…big Jonas fan and part of my love of tennis is the gear. I’m an intermediate who plays with Head and Wilson and I haven’t found a Babalot I liked until this one. You mentioned the grip shape…the 100 16x20 doesn’t have the same shape as all the PAs I’ve demoed. That’s a good thing for me. I want to pick one up but first I’m testing my Shift 99 300g with added weight to see if that’s what I’m really favoring. I found that the PS had easy depth and spin that kept it in the court, plus versatility for an all court player.

Id say you are splitting hairs theyre all 3 really good. I found the strike more stable at net. You csn feel it flex similiar to the tf40. The balance to me is perfect on the strike 100 16x20

Good review. I like the strike series but my issue like u mentioned is that I need to string it at high tension (55lb) in order to get the right power/control mix but after an hour it kills my arm! 🤦🏽♂️

I have this as my first Babolat and it feels very stable, whippy, and with just right amount of stiffness. It gives me more confidence than my current Six One 100. Nevertheless, imo it has smaller margin of error in customization; lead at 12 or leather grip worsens the racket's performance, when the same customizations in Six One improved it a lot.

Jonas, which frame more control: percept 100D or pure strike 100 16*20?
@aramichaelian73203 ай бұрын
I've been playing with Pure Pro Drive1st and 2nd generation since Nadal days. I've demo'd Pure 98 and Blade 98 (18x20), I could get used to Pure 98 with right strings/tension, but forget the blade 98 18x20. Pure 98 is still in the running but I'm going to demo the heavier Strike and VS 100, as well as Blade 100 and maybe Head 100. If this one - Strike 100, still has slightly less zing than Pure drive 100, but noticeably much better feel and control than any other 100's out there, then it would be my racquet for some time. so my question is.... what would be the most suitable strings and tension for this racquet...? I've played for long time with RPM blast 17G for long time, but have switched to stiffer Multi (TNT) recently which seems as good as my 2Gen Pure Drive is gonna get... still too much power and not much feel. Thanks for your thoughts in advance.

@@TheBlessedLion yes and no... Some racket definitly make it easier. Even in the "semi-control" category. t fight 300 for example. With the blade 100, to me you just lose its incredible feel whenever you try to brush the ball. Plus I found it turned out a bit erratic when attempting so.
