These are beautiful animals I admit that whether some see them as pests or not, and I understand the way you feel. I personally would not go out shooting these baboons because I hunt elk and deer for food. With that being said I can’t control what people do in these videos and I must say it was a good shot. @Salem The Cat I guess they are pests that disturbs farms/gardens. Just a fun fact: I live in Southeast Asia and my grandpa has a palm tree orchard. The orchard is festooned with macaques (they look similar to monkeys/baboons but smaller) and they managed to ruin my grandpa's wooden hut he built himself which he uses to rest. I figure it's the same reason in this video: pest control. Unfortunately in my country the use and ownership of firearms is largely banned thus hiring hunters is very costly, so he just has to get used to those damn macaques.

@void ness Personally I don't subscribe to this kind of hunting either, but but one has to realize much of the conservation industry in Africa is run off of well-managed and regulated hunts paid for by wealthy hunters. They do far more for conservation than all the bleeding hearts making negative comments on KZbin. It may not be a comforting fact, but without these guys you leave African wildlife to poachers and mismanagement. I could not pull the trigger on a giraffe and probably not a baboon either. But if this guy doing so helps preserve African wildlife, I'm all for it.
