Looks like the same ground I hunted in Limpopo back in August. Man, what an awesome trip. Blue wildebeest was also my first animal, late afternoon of my first day as well. The scope on my 9.3x62 got bumped around in-flight, ended up taking about 10 shots to find zero again. Sunrise and sunset over there are just spectacular. Awesome buff. What was the SS thumper you guys used for the buff and the eland? And why switch back to the 308 when you went to tracking it?

When we were tracking down the Eland at some stage we had to split up to try and gain some ground on the Eland and the Client finished all is rounds in the magazine I then hurried back towards where they were and I gave the Client my 308win to put the Eland down

@@giantafricansafaris - what was the big bore you guys used on the buff? the stainless barrel kind of makes me think it was a Montana Rifle. I have one in LH 404J.

@@giantafricansafaris What powder are you using Calli? I'm going to work up the same load for Michelle's .308 for our next trip. I used Frikkies .308 on my nyala, impala, and warthog and they were all 1 shot kills. Great loads!

@@giantafricansafaris Thanks Calli. I'll do some research and see if I can find the equivalent. I have a couple of Hogdon powders that should work fine, but you guys definitely have it dialed in! See you in a few!
