All the downvotes are obviously from people who have never seen their livestock butchered by coyotes. For those who downvoted: Coyotes are the greatest threat and nuisances for farmers and ranchers. They may be from the same family, but coyotes are not like dogs either. They will drag off and start eating your dog (or cat) while it's still screaming out and breathing. Do not pity these creatures. Coyotes are cunning predators and these men have a right to protect their defenseless livestock and property. Also, I respect these guys for waiting patiently to get clean kills. The scope is pretty badass too!

Hogs have adapted to being nocturnal due to being usually being hunted in the day time. If these are farmers and ranchers, they already have a busy day tending to their crops and livestock. Spending 8-10, maybe even 12 hours for maintenance and then go sleep, but now the pests and predators (yes coyotes as well), go out to eat their food and tear up the soil, that the farmer just put out. That's another reason why these guys have suppressors as well as to not wake folks up (shots are louder than ya think). Hogs aren't even native to the US. Because folks don't take care of em as well as hundreds of years of breeding, that's why they've grown so big. Now in my state up north I can't even hunt em unless a certain time of year which is a problem as it'll give em time to multiply

@DerEntscheider While running an electric fence is cheap, the inital costs of building one can really set a farmer back. Along with that, electric fences don't deter predators as often as one might think, coyotes are notorious for digging under fences or at least trying to. Pellet guns are honestly more effective in handling the predator problem, they're cheap and do a good long term job. If a bunch of coyotes see their bretheren dropping like that, chances are they're are much less likely to take a chance in open pastures like this in the future.
