I had a lovely experience having dinner in the new Bengali- Indian restaurant in Burdubai recently. They have north Indian items as well as Bengali style food as their speciality. I had an engaging conversation with Chefs & Staffs too, who has good experience in Dubai as well as in Kolkata too. On the first day, I had the day's special- Bhetki jhal, Fish fry, a complimentary Chhana'r payesh & aam panna drink. The price is reasonable. The ambience was very classy and having satisfactory seating arrangements. The floor area is probably the biggest and best among Dubai bengali restaurants. Lots of parking options nearby. The location is slightly in the quieter areas- Old pakistani consulate( opc) in Dubai.
On another visit yesterday, I had Chicken cutlet, Dim bhora ilish sorshe bata ( mustard paste with Hilsha fish ), Pabda machher aam kashundi ( Cat fish in mustard relish with young mango ) & Nolen guRer sondesh ( New date palm jaggery dessert from milk solids )- made in house & a delicious sweet buttermilk called Ghol in Bengali. I also packed home the day's special item- Hyderabadi Rogani mutton & Basanti pulao- a classic Bengali speciality. All were awesome.
I heartily recommend this restaurant to everyone.
