The production on this whole album still sounds stellar, courtesy of the legendary Mike Chapman with Kevin Shirley as the engineer. Suze credits Kevin with the sound of the record, while Mike Chapman worked mainly on helping guide and craft the songs.

Really loved the Baby Animals when i was at uni. I just checked wiki - can’t believe Suze DeMarchi is 58. Strong vocals and if she wasn’t a model, def could have. Such a great song and album. “And i need that like a hole in the head!”

Guitarist Dave Leslie was playing in a very successful Cold Chisel cover band when he was asked to join this band. Suze was worried that he still sounded too much like Ian Moss. She wanted to go heavier. This is one of their most mellow songs.

i finally got to see this band live at the place i work at for their 30th anniversary tour and it happened to be while im 30 and i couldnt say how happy i was to hear all their hits i grew up with 🙌🏽❤️ singing along to it all behind the bar was so good

I absolutely love the way these guys craft a song. Takes you on a journey and invariably throws in a surprise or two along the way. Dave Leslie’s phrasing on the guitar is fantastic, Eddie Parise’s bass funky as hell, Frank Celenza’s tight drum grooves and obviously Suze DeMarchi’s vocals and camera friendliness. Just a great mix of talent that unfortunately ended up separating all too soon. New goal is to get Nick grooving along at least once every time PayPal opens up
