Overall dimensions of the 3s LI-ION pack I am using here - 38.9cm tall, 69.5mm long
Cruise amp draw is am estimate based on medium throttle and my experince with it here. Longer flight times are obviously possible if you are happy to reduce cruising throttle and fly slower. This wing will be happy to fly at lower speeds and pull less current, if endurance is the overriding feature you need... .

I changed the motor/prop combo on this wing to a 2204 2450KV with a 5.5" prop and use a 4S 1300 battery and it screams. The battery is a tight fit but it's doable. The larger motor eliminates the need for dead weight at the rear. I 3D printed a motor mount but you can also drill new holes in the included mount to accommodate the larger motor. The only other thing I had to do was insert a T pin from the rear toward the canopy to hold it in place. With the higher speeds (90+ MPH now) the air pressure would blow the canopy off in flight. Other than that, it flies like a dream. Super fast, agile and a blast to fly. Cheers, Joe

I feel like if you seal the aileron gaps alla DLG style you will see flight performance improvements. There’s s a lot of drag going on there.

I've found that overweight planes handle the wind better than lightweight as long as you have enough power.

If you put the 20cm cable on the camera could you have moved the VTX behind the CG? You might have been able to reduce or remove the lead and put the VTX in the duct airflow.

The mounting options for HD systems on this model is one of it's main weaknesses. We shouldn't have to modify something like this to support a common choice for pilots. Happy flying!

That was an option. See my thoughts in the first look video. Sadly, there isn't a trench under the battery holder for the cable, so you'd need to figure it out. Happy flying!

Yes, I was wondering why you didn't do it that way. Maybe with the 20 cm cable it's even possible to go around the battery. On the other hand with your method the VTX has a lot of airflow and is nicely out of the way. Well, I'll order the long cable and see what I'll do when the wing arrives from BG.

Hi Ian, I'm looking for a small light fpv wing. The wings must come off and on easily. My intention is to put it in my backpack and cycle out. I see the small ZHOD 250g wings are glued. Also the hee wing f01 wings glued.

What would be a good replacement motor for this? I burned out mine and need a new one, and I can't find any similar ones anywhere. My battery is a 3S 4000mAh, made from Samsung 40T 21700 cells, and I'd like to still use the same battery.

Not that I know of. That part of the hobby seems to have been more of a 'fad' with the idea that sub 250g models didn't need registration in some countries..

With the smaller FCs, I have an issue with controlling the video interference since the filtering is limited. How is your video quality?
