To me, thats the real talent of the late great John Singleton. It shows in the details of the story, those little spaces that everyone can relate. Simple things of the life, that suddenly became dificult to deal with, because of pride, foolishness, blindness, etc. A simple movie and story, with common people, funny and real at the same time. So powerful that it almost speak to the audience while you watch. Its my favorite movie from the man. Great casting too!

The comments are hilarious but there’s an element I don’t see mentioned here. No diss, since I barely remember this flick. But… There was an element of respect in his eyes, even as Melvin and his mom disappeared into that room. Nobody wants to think of their mom doing what she did to make them in the first place. But… Everybody wants to see their mom happy. And she was. It takes a strong man, with real heart to balance those two emotions.
@joshuajarod1909 Жыл бұрын

Notice how Snoop amped up boys, puting them in a conflict of his own making. Instead of keeping it one on one. That's how pathetic today's gangstas are. "We gotta get this nigga!". Why didn't you handle it while he was first in your presence? Fake niggas instigate when they don't have it in them to go it alone. Snoop played the part well.

People saying Jodi punked out, but the smartest thing to do in that situation is to just remain quiet, but vigilant, and get your son outta there. At least the Crips had a code, and didn't do anything to JoJo. Mfs nowadays would have probably stuffed him in the oven if they had Rodney's anger. Fresh outta jail with nowhere to go and nothing else to do too. Bad situation

Anybody who says that is a dumb ass. There were four niggas in there and at least one was bound to be armed. Not to mention his son is right there with him. He made the smart decision. But that's probably why people get confused.
