Hi Loves! This video is our baby boy's birth vlog! This was an incredibly special day for us and we feel so blessed to finally have Jace in our arms! His birth, however, went a lot differently than expected. I didn't plan on having an unmedicated birth, but with how quickly my labor went, there was no time for an epidural! I wish they would have supported you pushing in a different position. It’s so much easier to let gravity help when birthing naturally. I am about to have my third (home water birth) and absolutely refuse to lay down during labor! He’s beautiful and I’m happy you both are happy and healthy.

I have had two births, both were laying on my back, it seems like the most used position. I really wonder if t’s the best or if a different position would be more effective when pushing 🤷🏻‍♀️

The hospital staff had the back of my bed lifted up into a sitting position and I did just fine that way. Idk why hers was laying back. I couldn’t imagine having my baby in any other position but I would love to try a water birth this time around.

I had a 3.5 hour with my first baby. I did 99% of laboring at home. We got to the hospital at 8:45am and he we was out by 9:10am. I didn't have time for an epidural either, which I was planning on. Welcome to the world, Jace! Can't wait to watch you grow!

It honestly wasn't. Surprisingly. It did take everything in me not to push in the car ride there, and that honestly was more painful than the contractions themselves.

She was our birth photographer and is also a doula - that and we've been friends for years! She was the only one in the room I was actually listening to haha! I don't know what I would have done without her! ❤️

It’s really disappointing how nurses and doctors are even educated on pelvic biodynamic and keep telling people to spread your legs wider when they is literally the opposite of what you should be doing and helps create more tearing. The farther your legs are apart the less space is made in the pelvis. I know it sounds crazy but it’s true. Do your research everyone on pelvic biodynamics. Closed knee pushing or pushing on your side with them only hip width apart helps the baby Come out faster. It’s just shocking how they want you to have your legs wide just for their convenience to see what is going on and not to help you at all.

Things sure went fast for you!! That can be good but can be bad too. Congratulations on such a beautiful baby boy mama!!!! I was getting worried there toward the end...you were kind of running out of gas you poor thing...you couldn't seem to hold your breath to push very well...but you were able to pull it together and do what needed to be done to bring sweet Jace into this world. Wonderful job mama!!!

I hear a lot of stories where the woman in labor couldn't get the epidural because she was already too far dilated. Luckily my hospital still let me when I was seven cm dilated once I arrived to the hospital. Gongrats on your baby, women are so strong
