They are so cute. I love to watch my daughter's chinchilla when he is in his dust bath. We also have a playpen that is 56 inches diameter and 32 inches tall. He goes crazy in it for about an hour hour and a half then crashes when he goes back in his cage which is a large cage with plenty of room to jump

I have a chinchilla and I live in Singapore too! Yes, chinchillas cannot adapt to places with high temperature so remember to always leave their cage in somewhere windy. Why don't you take him to the vet instead? He doesn't sound to be in a good condition to me..

Oh yours do the 'nose wipe' too! I assume they do it to dust themselves off, but ours have started doing it when they WANT the dust bath. Where they take their little paw and rub their nose.

Chinchillas must be in a room where the temp. is about 65 deg. F. through 75 deg. F. If below or above(in this case I'm assuming above), you're chinchilla might/will become overheated and it will become stressed.
