I hope they have a big open field farm with many more cows to socialize with ready for them asap because this is no way for any cow to be living. Edit- If you've been keeping up with her yt shorts you'll know I'm not making this up. Check her first yt short when she introduced her first calf and you can see the little amount of grass compared to the gravel I mentioned. Y'all, I think these are mini cows. Before you say mini cows aren't real, look it up for yourself. Miniature cows, similar to miniature dogs, are short, small, mini version of their larger counterpart. Obviously it's still a cow so it's not tiny-tiny, but they are bred specifically to be small. They tend to be less aggressive, more human reliant, and love attention. They are cows but they are kind of a bit different. I guess think of it as a bottle baby calf that never grows up. Yeah it's sad seeing "wild animals" being pets, but let's be honest, most farm cows are not wild animals they are domestic. I get it that they need a large barn with tons of space and more cows, but instead of telling her to do her research and set them free, dial back and do your own research since mini cows don't get the same requirements as normal ones. For those who won't look it up, I'll tell you. Miniature cows are like normal cows but shorter. They require the same medical attention and food, just a bit less feed than normal. (Food amount changes depending on what you're using the cow for.) Miniature cows, unlike normal cows, produce less milk and rely on humans more. Mini cows do not need large enclosure making them perfect for those who want to have a smaller scale farm. Because of this, miniature cows have become an exotic pet choice for certain people who are prepared to take care of one. Though small, they are still herd animals and need at least another cow or even another species for them to be around. They also need lots of social stimulation. So, though they are cows, these ones specifically highland cows, they aren't treated the same as normal ones. The way they are raised from birth as well makes it harder for them. They are usually handled by humans since their small size can be a huge problem with cows larger than they are. As long as she is loving and is taking proper care of them, there is nothing wrong with her raising them. She could be keeping them chained to a pole outside, only allowed to eat whatever grass they can reach, with dirty water to drink...but she's not. They look happy, she is doing what mini cows require, and there is nothing wrong with that. HOWEVER, apparently people say they want one...they are VERY hands on and needy creatures! You'd need to prepare to pretty much spend 20 years of your life keeping a puppy stuck in a bovine's body happy 24/7, as well as throwing all your money away for 500-1k pounds of food and any medical bills (since most mini animals have horrible health problems) on top of the 2k-10k+ price of getting one all down the drain at a heartbeat. Another thing that I wish she made apparent, these are not highland cows, which I'm sure you know by now if you're reading this far, these are MINI highland cows. Look the same, kind of the same, but still different enough. I know there's probably typos, it's pretty late where I am, but I wanted to help educate the "educators" in the comments as well as those who had no idea of anything from the jump. I don't know much about cows, I do, however, have a huge soft spot for highland cows. I've always loved them and have done a bit of research in the past, but even with my limited knowledge, it doesn't take much to switch from KZbin to Google. Please don't hate on someone for doing nothing wrong. Spreading awareness is one thing, but you can't make others aware of something if you're not even aware yourself. Anyways, that's my little blerb, have a good day and I hope this comment has helped at least one person!✨
@StarkGrey5510 ай бұрын
Also, forgot to mention, I'm going to assume she's from the USA and in that case, it is illegal (at least in most states) to own farm animals without documentation and a proper space for them. You cannot own them, they cannot sell them to you. You also have to make sure having one is okay within your specific area. You can't just up and decide you want a cow and just get one. She would have to go through an entire legal process for this, and being that she has two of them, clearly her abode was up to code. Just food for thought. (I know people who live in my city who have farm animals, it's not like getting a cat or dog and they are harder to find. She most definitely had to have her place checked out first and probably went to some place to tell her the legalities of owning a mini cow and if she can even do that there.)

@@Kaiden_Reviews Thank you! And yeah, I get those comments, I personally don't agree with the breeding of mini/teacup animals since it's unnatural and can cause complications for the animal. (They also don't tend to live as long.) But a lot of the people getting angry are mad because they think these are normal cows and so they believe that they're being abused. Which isn't true and they are making others believe they are being tortured when they aren't. I was shocked to hear so many people didn't know miniature cows actually exist. Hopefully she makes a video or something explaining that these aren't regular sized cows to disband any confusion.
@ihaveastrangefearofspoons870710 ай бұрын
I get that they’re mini (and sorry I forgot all that you said idk if you pointed this out or not) but I feel like they still need a pasture to graze. Watching her other videos, it looks like her yard is mostly sand and I know you can supplement it but I think they should get to graze grass.
@StarkGrey5510 ай бұрын
@@ihaveastrangefearofspoons8707 Miniature cows can be on pastures if you want but they actually don't need them. Mini cows are supposed to be more hands on so they actually can stay within barnes or houses as long as you still are giving them the proper space and food. Having fresh grass for them to graze on is recommended but you can use just hay and other nutritional cow feeds and they'll still have a happy quality of life. Miniature cows are recommended to have ½-1 acre of land per cow and to have some friends and stimulation but as long as you have the basic necessities, space, and probably take them out to graze often, then they'll be fine. So being in a barn is okay. I also checked out some of her shorts, she might be keeping them indoors because they are new members of the family and are just getting to know each other. They are also babies and need a lot of care. She does seem to have some fresh grass in her yard but I'll have to check out her longer videos some time to see how much. And, obviously, these are just videos, she might take them outside more off camera. Hope this helps! ✨

They’re not really supposed to be pets, they actually aren’t supposed to be housed like this either 🤷♀️

@@BrianWankeyeah well, a barn isn’t better. (Not hating on you but) they’re supposed to be in a field.

For those not aware they will be slowly growing a herd i believe within time but cows can be expensive and the needs. Please do not judge them as from what ive deen in videos they DO have an area i believe they'll most likely expand on as soon as possible as well as barn building so please do not judge the caretakers of these animals so soon.

Yeah but why not wait half a year and start with like 3 cows right ahead? Its definetly not good only adding like one cow after weeks/months.
