40 year-old Tim being described as 'the boy' is deeply underrated.
@cinesmiths8977
@cinesmiths8977 Жыл бұрын
not really, the guy saying it is probably 30 years older than him, and within the context of the video, probably around his daughter's age. If you're too young to have realized it yet, the older you get the more everyone who is 10-15+ years younger than you seems like a "kid". Like when I was 20 years old, it kinda bothered and slightly confused me how people much older than me would call me a "kid" when I felt like I was clearly an adult. But now as a dude in my 30's, I get it.

@ChimiMyChanga73
@ChimiMyChanga73 10 ай бұрын
@@cinesmiths8977 that's accurate. I call people 5-10 years younger than me "kid" when I speak about them to my wife or friends. Example of convo about work: "he's a young kid/young man, who seems to be doing well. I don't understand them, but at least they're trying." also "How does this young dude not care about his work at all, after just joining the company... usually it takes some time to get checked out, but day 1 they stopped caring." Both cases, the people were close to my age, but younger. I work in videogames.

Actually the baby knows because as seen in the flashback, the baby used to be a piece of shit, and he's worried he can't change. He thinks people can't change. Then at the end he realizes people can change, meaning even he can change. That's why he smiles.
@richarddelo3506

I think the baby represents innocence/goodness. For the baby to be inserted unto the flashback -taking place through the lens of the baby's own mind's eye - and for the protagonist to then acknowledge the baby's presence as the baby gives his past its blessing with its smile, shows the protagonist making peace with his past, and perhaps isn't so hard on himself moving forward for having been such a "piece of shit".

Agree 100 % I wasn't sure at first and now my son and I can't stop referencing random bits from all the episodes. It's kind of like Napoleon dynamite, once you watch it a few times and have the right outlook when watching it, it's like you're watching a totally different movie. For example, the Rico character in Napoleon dynamite still makes me crack up just thinking about him, yet I didn't think much of him during the first couple times I watched the movie. I think Tim Robinson's comedy is the same way and if people just watched it a few times they would finally get it. I even noticed by having it on the background , I pick up little stuff as I'm walking by the TV and I maybe didn't notice while watching it the first couple of times. I guess that is the power of genius. You may not see it right away, but it will come out eventually. I'm sure there is plenty of famous Art work that started out the same way, and now many years later, some of that same art work is considered priceless
