You get so much of that stuff at your baby shower especially toiletries and teething stuff, bibs and blankets xx My mum did a raffle at my baby shower and asked everybody to bring either a pack of Aldi nappies or a pack of wipes in exchange for a raffle ticket and the winner won a big gift basket with wine and chocolate and bath stuff. I ended up with 1years supply of nappys!! He’s 15minths and we ran out of wipes last month 😂

Hey, love your videos. I'm currently 30 weeks pregnant with a partner in military. Just a tip with moving into a pad, your entitled to a free cot and mattress, 2 stair gates, high chair and play pen. We just got ours delivered. Your still entitled to this even if house is surplus xx

Something i hadn’t thought of until the other day is a mattress protector and sheets for the pram carry cot. Apparently Moses basket sheets fit most but my travel system hasn’t arrived yet so I can’t say for definite x

I'm a first time mum to be as well and I have been told to pack a dressing gown in my hospital just in the instance that your room doesn't have a loo and you have to pop out, or if your on a ward but more comfy in just knickers and bra while in labour, its just a really good way to be able to quickly make yourself decent/cover yourself up so I've been told. This video came in really handy and helped me to realise I haven't over brought/won't be over buying and that I have managed to narrow it down to essentials only. Who knew such a tiny human could need to much stuff 🤦‍♀️

I’m taking ready made bottles, you won’t be able to sterilise bottles at the hospital so they need to be pre made, any supermarket has them. In case you have never seen them, my video for the baby hospital bag I show them. You have a really good list and everyone has given you loads of tips as well xx

Also I would opt for an electric steriliser (absolutely fine even second hand ) as it would save lot of money on sterling bags. A cheaper alternative are the microwave sterilisers . They take up less space too. Also a must (for me was an essential ) is a baby carrier. Again can purchase next to new or in great condition on ebay for a fraction of the price .

you are in the same situation as I am. I am 33 weeks now and staying with parents atm due to finances being affected as a result of COVID. We will be moving out after the baby is born to out of London so yeah.... tough times.

I wouldn't bye too many packs of nappies as you don't know if baby will get on with them, you don't want to waisted money on nappies you can't use. I used the incontence pants for my 3rd and they were brilliant x

Check where you are having the baby lets you plug things in, where I m hoping to have baby doesn't let you plug chargers in at all so having to take power packs.

If you're purely bottle feeding, you will need to take the pre made formula you can get a pack of 6 with sterilised teats from most supermarkets, I had to buy some the other day as i'm due to have my baby on the 5th August as she's still in a breeched position. Other then that im pretty sure you've already got the basics needed for your hospital bags. also don't get so many packs of newborn nappies, i've only got 2 packs of the sainsbury's ones which are like £1.50 for 40 as i think 80 will be plenty and if i need more my partner will go and go get more. I never realised how much stuff you have to take for a newborn to hospital until my midwife told me, i have a suitcase that is just full of my daughters stuff. Also if you haven't already got it on your next midwife appointment ask for the labour information pack, theres a handy booklet in there thats tells you exactly what you need for your's and little ones hospital bag.

Also you can't go too wrong with taking in a big nightie/shirt..if it's hot or you end up with a section it is much more practical I'd say 10 nappies a day roughly but wouldn't get tonnes in smallest size as you don't know how big baby will be and someone can grab you some more if you needed them Also we moved 2 weeks before baby arrived and moving soon after this one hopefully so I understand the nesting problem! Looks lovely so far though and he won't even be in his own nursery for plenty of time :)

Got through 24 Nappies for the first 2.5 days and now get through roughly about 6-10 Nappies a day (through the night too)

in terms of baby formula, you might not need it in the hospital, if the midwives think that the baby is not getting enough then they can always provide you with formula, in my first experience they were very supporting in terms of helping with breastfeeding.

I was wondering if you decided to breastfeed or started baby off straight on formula. Watched your video and loved it. It reminded me of my first baby boy organisation (currently expecting 26 weeks another boy). I'm now a lot less meticulous with my packing . I would have had a lot of items related to breastfeeding such as pump ,milk catcher like a hakka and other useful breastfeeding items.

I would be careful buying too many nappies. We stocked up on Mamia size 1 nappies and they were far too big round my little girls legs so we have to give them all away and get some Asda ones 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️ every time we go up a size, we end up having to get a different brand haha 💗

2 baby hats for the hospital! First one at birth gets covered in all sorts and they usually like you to keep hat on in there or coming home so pop in another would be my first suggestion Water bottle with straw so can drink it laying down a little.. a pillow or nursing pillow is also quite useful but not essential

I’d deffo recommend picking up one pack of size 0 nappies, just incase baby boy is smaller, we didn’t get any 0 and our boy didn’t fit into size 1 he was 6lb 6 when he was born x
