hey katie, for the blankets i’d say you don’t need a ton but def make sure you have different types of blankets for example have maybe 1-2 thicker ones and a few like warm-ish ones and make sure you have a good bit of really thin blankets especially since y’all live in a warmer climate, what you do need a lot of is burp cloths, they get dirty really fast and sometimes you’ll go through like 3 a day because baby’s burp a lot obviously every baby is different but i suggest you have a good bit of burp cloths, also a quick tip is have a blanket that is always with your baby put them to bed with that blanket put them down for naps with that blanket next to them and they’ll grow up with that blanket and it’ll give them comfort and it’ll help them sleep, my 5 yr old has one and it’s just so much easier for him to sleep with it, it’ll also help when y’all leave somewhere or someone’s babysitting her it’ll just be like a comfort item, so just dedicate a blanket for her wrap her up with it when y’all take her home from the hospital and just make it her own blanket!! this baby blanket tip is by far one of my favorites!!

also a big tip is make sure you have at least a few premie baby clothes because you never know how big your baby is, so make sure to bring at least one premie sized outfit to the hospital incase your baby comes out tiny because the ultra sounds and stuff don’t always show the right weight😅

Hey girl! As a seasoned mom of an almost 2 year old, I personally didn’t use a ton of blankets! I had one with him in his car seat at any given time and swapped that out often for washing so having a few on hand is great! We loved the Ollie swaddle for our little one! He slept the best in it because it was the only one he wouldn’t wriggle out of at all! And you can never have too many baby clothes! Because I took so many pictures and lots of diaper changes and spit ups will happen! But you’ll find out of convenience and comfort the onesies are the best way to go for the first few months or so! Lots of swaddles, plain onsies, and burp cloths will be your best friends! I used the cheap walmart/target onsies that come in packs for sleeping/lounging around the house. Then saved the cute prints for outings or pictures. I even bought some of the cheaper onsies that had cute sayings on them like "mommy's princess" or "Rock and Rolls" and they were just fun and cute. I say the "cheaper" baby onsies are fine to have because they grow so fast and you can always spend money on more brand name clothes when they are older and aren't growing faster than it takes a full season to pass by. Either way, i love these clothes and can't wait to see the finished nursery

This brings back so many sweet memories for me! I loved dressing my girls up after they were through the first few months, and I know you will too! It’s true, they grow out of the 0 to 3 months pretty quickly. All of the clothes and blankets are super cute. So excited to see the finished nursery. My niece made a wall bookshelf for her daughters books. She put it along the lower part of the wall, so her daughter could pick a book for her to read. I thought it was such a cute idea. Idk about how many you “need” but I do recommend having an even amount of thin blankets with thick. For colder months to double layer. I always end up with a lot of blankets. I love swaddles but I recommend a Velcro swaddle or a dreamland Velcro swaddle sleep sack! That one is pricey but so worth it!🙂

My kids both lived in sleepers from newborn till 3 months. I had a few outfits for family outings, grocery shopping, and doctors appointments. But in those first 3 months we didn't go many places with my first (it was during COVID) and my second is currently 8 weeks and also lives in his sleepers! I have 2 boys under 2 currently! Enjoy your little one when she comes, it goes so fast! As far as amount of things you'll need. With my kids I have about 20 sleepers per size (they go through them fast - especially as newborns). My kids were both in newborn clothes for about 6-7 weeks. My oldest was 9 pounds when he was born - so you'll likely get use out of newborn clothes! When it comes to blankets it's always great to have extra on hand - I'm usually washing 2-3 blankets a night due to blowouts/pee/spit up, so I'd say at least have 6 blankets if not more. Doing laundry is the last thing you'll want to do with a little one around so having extra on hand so you get enough together for one full load is the way to go! Once my oldest started daycare I made sure he had about 14 outfits in each size - he did still have clothes he never wore or only wore once, but now that I have a second boy we'll be getting use out of those clothes again! My number one must have item that should be on your registry that most people don't think will be useful is the bumco diaper cream spatula - I hated getting diaper cream in my nails so this was a game changer for me. :D

I’d say a ton of blankets aren’t a necessity but you’ll find uses for them. Can leave one on the couch if you wanna change a diaper there, could use it for tummy time or save them for when they’re a little older and can sleep with a blanket!

Carters runs small! Since their sizing is different than other brands 6m runs closer to 3-6m. White onesies are nice in the winter to go under the 2 piece sets. We went through a ton of burp rags in the first few months. Those old navy sleepers are amazing! So snuggly, not expensive, have 2 way zippers, and the sleeves fold over. My baby girl doesn’t like being swaddled but yours might so it’ll just depend on what she likes if you’ll need a bunch of swaddles. Cotton sleep sacks work too for when you have the air on and want baby girl to stay warm at night but you guys also stay comfortable. The bamboo and muslin blankets will probably be perfect for Arizona, and keeping baby warm inside when it’s so hot outside. Other must haves would be an electric nasal suction and saline spray. When your baby sounds stuffy it’s scary and if you have those on hand you’ll be prepared!

Swaddles amazing along with zipper onesies which are easier to get on/off especially during those long nights. I wouldn’t get too many newborn clothes. But it all depends some babies are big and some are small. In my family no one was able to fit into newborn when first born 8-10 oz babies. 😅 Anyways I’m so excited to watch you guys on your parenting journey. ❤

Newborn/0-3 months my boys pretty much lived in onesies/ sleepers. So a lot of those are great to have! I love the Velcro swaddles, they are so much easier to use. Sleep sacks are also good to have. Thinking back I didn’t use too many blankets! Another thing I can think of that’s a must is a sound machine! You’re gonna be such a sweet mama! I’m so excited for you 😍

Each baby is so different in terms of EVERYTHING basically. My daughter wore newborn clothes for a good 2 months, if not longer because she was tiny and they definitely go through a lot of sleepers/onesies! They go through a few changes of clothes a day at least. Swaddles are good for the first 3 months or so until they learn to break free of them😂 and having a lot of blankets is good because you can use them for different things. Looks like baby girl B is gonna have the cutest little clothes and no doubt she’ll have everything she needs!🤍💕

I would say not to buy too much all at once and wait till she’s here! Every baby is different 😊💕 don’t stress yourself out too much! I’ve been using the same pack of 3 pacifiers for the past month now and my mom insisted for me to wait till she gets here to buy more because some babies don’t want one. Diapers are also something I wouldn’t go buy too much of because they grow out of them quickly. My baby girl was 7lb 8.5 oz and 21 inches long and was in newborn diapers for only 2.5 weeks. I wouldn’t buy a bunch of bottles right now either because the baby could be bottle nipple sensitive especially if ur planning on breastfeeding. I wouldn’t buy too many clothes past 3-6 months because then they might get bigger or even be smaller than you expected and it all depends on the weight they gain in the first few months. I’ve also been noticing some sizing fits differently. My baby girl is in 3-6 months and some of them are huge still and others she has now filled out… I would say just go with the flow and when ur baby girl is here u will know what u need! 😊

No more than 7 blankets/swaddles. I would say depending on what time of year you have her... 7 to 10 onesies... because accidents happen. If you wash socks safety pinned or in mesh bags, you won't lose them as easily too.

I live with my sister who had a baby 4 months old. He goes through so many onesies throughout the day. He also went up sizes pretty quickly. Also we definitely use the three baby blankets a lot. Especially since they get dirty easily.

I would get some premie outfits, my son was small and we had to buy a few premie outfits for when he came home! I would say get a lot of burp wrags, those were the most needed in that 0-6m time frame. Light blankets are best if your in a warmer climate, Maybe 10? I didn't use swaddle blankets, I used the sleep sacks he loved them. Hope this helps ❤ first time mom & my baby just turned 1 😢

My daughter didn’t even fit in newborn size! It depends on the time of year they’re born also. I had my daughter in November and we stayed home a lot due to all the sicknesses going around/cold weather. She stayed mainly in onesies unless we went out of the house. I have basically 2 blankets I swap between since they can’t sleep with them yet due to sleep safety. Get a lot of burp cloths! I only used 2 swaddles since they can use it multiple nights in a row. Honestly, everyone is so different in what they need! For instance we got a bottle warmer, have never used it since my daughter doesn’t mind drinking the milk cold.

Hey, I'm Chelsea. I've got two kids just two years and one day apart, a boy and a girl. Just a tip, wash all the baby stuff around your 30 to 36 weeks pregnant (can do it before then as well if you wanted to) and you'd need some teething rings, I find the mesh teething ring is good cause once they can get the taste of solids you can put it in the mesh teething ring and they can't choke on it and still get a taste of solid foods and can put an ice cube in it to help with teething also. And should get a bouncer and a washable play mat as well it's a good thing to have so it can look at toys and colours eventually and play at the same time and the bouncer is good to have around home also and can put it in the car if you needed or wanted to to take to friends/family's houses etc also should get a baby carrier, it definitely comes in handy especially if you're just ducking into shops quickly or when they're being really fussy or in the clingy stage but also once bub is asleep put her straight into the cot or bassinet or both so they get used to it and makes it easier on you in the long run. Of a night time can put bub in your room in bassinet for a few months or so and during the day (even when first born) put her in her cot in her room so she gets used to that and transitioning her won't be as hard for all of you. So, for nighttime, I recommend using nightgowns! Makes diaper changing in the middle of the night, sleep deprived, very simple. With swaddles, i would get a few different ones (we had the swaddle me ones and halo, used the halo more). It will depend on baby, honestly. The halo ones make moving baby from swaddle to sleepsack easier. We now have the zippadee zip, my little girl is 6 months, and she really likes to sleep in those. She was born in Nov, and lived in the footed sleepers until she was 2 months, it was easier than doing full outfits daily. If we went out, we would put her in an outfit. The double zippers were handy until she would poop and it would come out of the diaper 😂 We are also in AZ, but not in the same area, its a smidge cooler where we are

From a mom of two, definitely enough blankets :) I’d recommend getting some more swaddles though. My favorite is the Ollie swaddle because they can’t get out! Also the onesies that have the long sleeves and pants attached are called sleepers/pjs. And on your registry I’d recommend putting lots of things other than clothing because people will buy you clothes wether you register or not 😅 congratulations!!!

I have a 9 month old baby boy💙 I would definitely recommend a good amount of two way zipper onesies. My little guy lived in those the first few months. The Velcro swaddles we’re waaaayy easier to use so I would also stock up on those. I used swaddles and burp rags a lot while nursing. My baby was a messy eater😂 I wouldn’t say he ruined many things. Spit up and blow outs usually wash out pretty easily with a good baby safe stain remover. So excited for y’all💗💖💕

I hate to be a Debbie downer but it is a very under talked about issue. It is VERY recommended that you do not put bows on your baby’s head, it’s fine for a quick picture. But if you leave it on for an extended amount of time and can cause brain development issues as the pressure from the head band can affect the way the soft skull forms.
