The last time I watched this channel, Slevester and Max had just passed, and the squad was Gatsby, Nugget, Lulu, and Lumi. So sad to hear of most of their passing 😔 I stopped watching because of the death of my two piggies in the same month, so I understand the feeling. I wish the best health and longest life to Lumi, and I can't wait to learn about the new pigs that I don't know about yet!

It often happens that the last arrival doesn’t get a seat at the table! I imagine that she got some separately, the uploaded video probably doesn’t show the entire dining experience. Plus, on other occasions, sometimes the piggies get the rind after the “ hoomans” eat the red part.

The little market nearest my house has had big boxes of watermelons out front for a few weeks, but they're too messy to take one to work for lunch 😉, so I brought a jar of spiced-pickled watermelon rind in with me a couple of days ago. No salt -- just rind in vinegar, sugar, and heavy on the cloves. Doesn't taste anything like watermelon, but MAN did that ever hit the spot!

🤣Talk about a FEEDING FRENZY!!! WOW!!! I just love how the Piggies eat it ALL- rind, fruit, SEEDS- I could hear the chompers on overdrive! I think Lumi ate about HALF the entire piece! That is before Fitz and Mama Tutu devolved into a backyard brawl (of sorts)... FITZ! You CAN'T EAT the carpet!!! Poor thing... Fitz finally does let Mama Tutu know "First Come, First Serve!" And Lumi... she just wanders back into the "cage". What a happy happy happy video share!!!

I love their happy little munches! And I'm glad Tutu was able to get some watermelon. She seems a bit like an outsider from the herd, but Wilby seems to check up on her, like maybe he's helping her feel at home when she's anxious? He's been such a sweet piggy to both her and Zelda even on day one. I don't know how guinea pig herds work so it's just an observation/thought.

the first time i gave my piggies watermelon... they smelled it, take a small bite, then it became frantic. they took bigger and bigger bites, as fast as possible😆 during summer this is the best hydration source they have, since they spend the days outside, eating grass.
