Jimmy Page has actually said it was Scotty Moore's 2nd guitar solo in Baby Let's Play House that inspired him to want to play the guitar! Cool to see his homage to this song!

I was there on the up front against the barrier...... Montreux 1999 Nothing quite like the Montreux Jazz Festival.....! Page and Plant were the warmup band! Bob Dylan played a full set right after this...
@badgeholderdave4 жыл бұрын
This is 2001 not 1999. Also, Dylan played the night after Plant and Page so they were not his "warm up" band.

@@badgeholderdave I was there in 1982...Beat you guys by almost 20 years. Anf then 20 yeass after that, Austin Butler nailed it while filming this scene in Australia, dovetaling it with his recording at the Stduo B in Nashville. . kzbin.info/www/bejne/kHaqZZ1jp7p0fNU

Mungo Jerry released a great version of this in 1970. Page and Plant are fantastic here. A rockabilly classic.

I actually don't like Page's tone on this. Too heavy for rockabilly.
@FigmentSALabel4 жыл бұрын
Perhaps, but if that tone was available back then it would have been used!
