Beautiful & strong name, my son is named Ryan meaning little king. the 1st 3 months are the hardest then it gets easier as they are more settled into a routine and more receptive & you can see their personality come through. also I would highly recommend getting a baby carrier (ergobaby are great) colic babies hate being flat as im sure you've probably realised. A carrier will mean he gets the comfort from you but you get the use of both hands back. I used to wear my babies doing housework and errands etc until the were big enough to go on my back and i'm not even African LOL and it save carrying the buggy for short trips. YOUR DOING GREAT!
