The baby is screaming in pain from her bending both on the ears’ cartilage, plus she is pushing hard on her neck as well and there is a lot of nerves that are and can be very painful. I am a nurse and that ‘hold’ is not best practice, obviously.

Yeah I don't know why they still bother folding ears like that. It's not like it's a big deal if some water gets in there. Baby's head could also be sore from birthing - although it looks pretty perfect so maybe it was a c-section? I always hate to see nurses scrubbing the heck out of a baby's hair when the scalp is clearly red and raw and the baby is crying in pain.

My God that is a scream of utter PAIN. I couldn’t hardly stand to watch this, poor little baby. Couldn’t that nurse tell that.? We sure could. He put his little hands right up by his ears . She was pinching his ear cartilage so hard it was obvious. I am a nurse also andThat hold is absolutely NOT best practice.
