You saved so many lives that morning. I remember a previous video where Naude and Dylan found a dead pup strangled from dragging big heavy netting. The pup in this video was exhausted and you got to him in time, thank goodness. Thank you OCN, amazing rescues!!

That foggy morning turned out to be a very lucky morning for these 7 seals, especially for seal #3 dragging that big, wet net. It's a miracle that the poor pup succeeded getting out of the water. Thanks guys, great job!❤️🦭

That has got to be the most large and heavy entanglements you've ever done in one run. Usually there's only one or two big entanglements and the rest are thin lines or straps, but this was all massive amounts of debris weighing these creatures down.

Fishing lines and nets generally end up at sea unintentionally, fishing is pretty punishing on the hardware, sooner or later a line rips, a net gets entangled on something, etc.

I admire people who rescue animals. This is the way to exemplify the Golden Rule to its fullest. Most people claim to be against animal cruelty, yet their everyday actions don't align with their claims. If you want to walk your talk, then be vegan. Veganism is a moral stand against animal exploitation and cruelty for selfish pleasure or profit and includes reverence for life. Being vegan offers the best opportunity to develop one's empathy to the fullest. Empathy is something we should all be working hard to develop, seeing that it has nearly gone extinct in our species.

We are unfortunately not solving the problem, but only treating the symptoms of the plastic crisis with our rescues. The goal of these videos is to show the consequences of this pollution and create a change to tackle its roots - namely our addiction to single-use plastics, the lack of law enforcement at sea, and the shortcomings of the recycling industry.

Gosh, guys, you did so well making a lot of rescues in one go, fishing lines, a piece of clothing or something? and that horrible, heavy net, that that poor little seal was dragging around with him. I bet he feels a real difference now, also that other little seal with the plastic strap cutting into him, that must have been so painful and horrible for you to see. I love when the videos are longer and more involved, but I absolutely HATE that it means that there are so many entangled seals at one time ... especially when a few of the entanglements were so bad. That heavy, double net was 3 times the length of the poor pup it was strangling, and probably 5 times the weight. I can't tell you how much it means that the AMAZING OCN team was able to save and free so many at one time ... but then, that's "just another day at the office" for Naude, Tony and Denzil, who absolutely ROCK! Thank you, HEROES 💙
