I'm happy that Dude has become as big a part of JBO as he has. I have become a fan of the show all over again. I loved the show when they played it in Chicago but I think the way you guys are going online is really pretty awesome. Feels modern again

Joe have you had any complaint's on the shallow and depth raiders swelling? I had 3 depth raiders and one jointed shallow raider in a 3700 series box and left them in my boat overnight until the next evening. It was 90-95° and quite humid out but I had my cover on my boat as it rained overnight so the sun wasn't baking them all day. Anyways I went to use them and noticed the swelling in them that wasn't there the day before. One Depth raider is completely un-usable and the jointed shallow is swelled pretty good and the other 2 are borderline usable but haven't tested them yet. I had 5 Rapala Super Shads in the box, 1 jointed Savage gear crankbait and 1 Crane crank in separate sections of the 3700. Had a Top raider and a Glide raider also which were unaffected.

Weird to say the least. I have seen lures bake inside tackleboxes. Especially clear sided ones. But almost always after being in intense sunlight.

Fishing With Joe Bucher yah I was thinking it was maybe a combination of a chemical reaction with one of the finishes on the other brand of baits in the heat or something. Had a custom BigEYEBait's crankbait in there too that has a real thick clearcoat. The 2 Perch colored ones got the worst swelling. Either way Oh well I got a custom jointed depth and shallow raider that might be the ticket to catch a big one... LOL

Yes. My newer 7 inch Chrome Shallow Raiders have had swelling (bubbling). Nothing on my other Raiders.

Is there an advantage or a preferred time to use the jointed raider?

Wind and waves = Jointed ShallowRaider. Cast and crank. Simple. Straight SR is a hybrid jerkbait/crankbait. Jointed is strictly a crankbait.

Fishing With Joe Bucher that's great! Thanks for responding. I've been doing well with the perch straight SR lately but I don't have a jointed...yet.
