The "calm but awake" method took our 4 month old a couple of weeks to get used to, but he can self-soothe so well now that it's only a couple of minutes between going down and falling asleep. I'll go in to peek at him when he's waking up mid-sleep, and most of the time he's already finding his fingers and nodding of again. We are all so much better rested, thank you thank you for your book.

Great video, as always!✨ It's always interesting to learn about the science behind how babies sleep. It's clear that there are many factors at play when it comes to baby sleep, and it's important for parents to understand these to help their little ones get the rest they need. My personal advice is always to try to associate the bedtime with 💖positive emotions for both the parents and child, for example by using their ♫🎧personalized name song/music. This can be a great idea for creating a calming bedtime routine for the child and promoting quality sleep. I suggest using their own song because it is adding as many markers of trust (child's name, parents' nickname, parents' voice, etc.) as possible.
