I remember being around that age playing outside in the 60s and some kids found their parents parked car unlocked. A few of us went inside the back seat and someone closed door. It was warm and I had that trapped feeling. Panic and the air was thick. I was too young to know or understand lock and unlock knobs or how to open door. Back when car doors were heavy as well. Thankfully one of the kids did know and we all got out. But if not, who knows what could have happened. Who knows how long we could have been trapped in there before someone noticed. And we were young so we weren’t noticeable in car. If there were today’s child locks we wouldn’t have got out. People keep car doors locked.

Epilogue: It turns out that Carl was just deep asleep after his long flight duty and didn't hear the phone ring. Sandra's 'friend' was jealous of how happy Sandra was and made up the story about having an affair with Carl as a 'joke'. When Sandra and David are released from hospital, Sandra tries to sue Monolith. They tell her that 'on page 1 of the quickstart guide it says that if you get locked out in Vault mode you just have to yell "Lilith, please open the car" and Lilith will do a voice print cognition and unlock..... didn't you read the manual?"
