Right. I feel sorry for anyone struggling with fertility. Even that woman, I would be devastated in her situation. The girl who got pregnant 3 months postpartum made me cry. I found an update and she is miserable. Her husband doesn’t help at all and she’s going through morning sickness etc. this was a year ago and I’ve found no other updates. “Background: I (21f) am currently a SAHM to a six month old baby girl, and pregnant with our second child. My husband (23m) works, I take care of the house and baby in between school work. Recently, we’ve been getting into it because he seems to feel that because he works, he shouldn’t have to do much of anything else - especially when it comes to the baby. He hasn’t said as much, but it’s his actions that make me feel that way. He comes home, stays up for two or three hours playing his game, and then goes to bed. He doesn’t even change diapers on weekdays, so I have him do all diaper changes over weekends and he still complains. I do all the night wakes, I get her up in the morning when she wakes up because he won’t. So usually I let him sleep until two hours before he has to get ready for work, and then wake him up so he can spend time with the baby and I can get a few things done. Now on to the actual AITA part. Yesterday morning, I woke up feeling terrible. I was sore all over and kept running to the bathroom to throw up, but I take the baby in the living room like every morning. Baby girl is crawling now and getting into everything, so I was running back and forth between the bathroom to throw up, and to the baby to stop her from killing herself. I couldn’t leave her long enough to get any breakfast either, so by the time my husband’s two hours are up, I’m tired, hungry, and just generally annoyed. I go wake him up, and say, “Baby, please will you get up? I’m really overwhelmed and I need some help.” He grumbles that he’ll be up soon, and then spends another forty minutes in bed. When he finally gets up, he walks into the living room and I come towards him with the baby, and he backs away and says, “I have to poop”, and then goes and sits in the bathroom for 30 minutes. By this time the baby has gotten fussy, and I’m having trouble controlling her as she writhes in my arms. The last straw was when she dumped my coffee into my lap. I put her down and went banging on the bathroom door. I told my husband to get the fuck out of the bathroom NOW. He comes out looking lost like he’s just innocent and hasn’t done anything, and I just lay into him. I tell him I’m overwhelmed and I need a break from the baby sometimes since I have her 24/7 and I’m asking him for that help and he’s not listening or trying to help me. In my frustration I yelled, “This is exactly why people shake the fuck out of their kids! I’m telling you I need help and I’m becoming frustrated and you’re not giving me the support I need.” Well he got pissed off and accused me of threatening to hurt our daughter out of frustration which isn’t what I was saying at all. AITA for making that statement?” When she has the second baby the situation will be worse. The shit ass lazy husband needs to man up and take care of the baby. After all he did help make her. If she goes into depression there really is no telling what she might do out of desperation, frustration and anger. This post was a year ago & I’ve found no other posts or updates. I feel so sorry for her. Her family is in another state and she’s still at odds w MIL. My wife had PPD and I was as involved as much as possible. Many doctors normally strongly advise against getting pregnant too soon after birth, even if mom is in perfect health and had a healthy, normal pregnancy & delivery with zero complications. From what ive seen they generally recommend about 18 months at minimum. Less than 1 year, let alone less than 6 months, is considered extremely risky for mom & baby, as there are significantly higher rates of preterm birth, low birth weight, placental abruption, uterine rupture, anemia, congenital disorders, stillbirth, infant death, and maternal death.

My brother was the first person I told and he told me to not tell his friend because he’s been trying to get someone pregnant for welfare money. Well I did I’m dumb and I thought we were like family. He tried to propose, I declined. I tried to adopt her out with his permission and he tried to use the situation to take her once my right were signed away. I never signed anything before him and kept my baby. He constantly tried to get me to leave her with him, “I know you don’t want to be a mom, I got this, go live your life.” Um no. When that didn’t work he tried to get me to sign papers saying he had her the majority of the time because he needed it for “WIC” but was really trying to collect welfare and file for child support against me. Sadly my family kicked me out and supported him through everything. My priority has always been to my daughter and I’ve learned to not be the nice guy trying not to stir the pot in order to protect her. Watch out for men like this. When I was 2 or 3 my dad met a woman that absolutely fell in love with me and tried to be my mom sooooo hard. She even technically kidnapped me by taking me out of the state to Disney world (without my older sibling who she hated) for multiple days and didn’t tell my actual mom. She gave me everything. In her house my room was the master with a jacuzzi tub, she took me shopping constantly and threw away all the things my actual mom bought for me and replaced them. Even though I was so young I knew something was weird about it. She was over the top obsessed 😯

My best friend is 5'3 and tiny (she's a runner). Her first baby, a little girl, was just shy of 11 lbs. It was insane, and she ended up having an emergency c section. Her second baby, a son, was just over 9 lbs, so still big but significantly smaller than his sister. She exclaimed how relieved she was about the smaller baby to her nurses and they all thought she was nuts to think that was small until she explained how big her daughter was. 😂 I, on the other hand, am much taller and heavier, and I haven't had children yet but if/when I do I'm really nervous about it because I have other health issues having nothing to do with my weight but I know I'll probably be treated differently either way.

what I don’t understand is, OP said that the girlfriend has issues with fertility. She did not say that she was in fertile, so she could have gotten in vitro, found her own surrogate, or potentially even got pregnant herself! I tried to get pregnant for about five years, and I met so many women who initially said that they were infertile who ended up getting pregnant, naturally, after they decided to give them selves a break and not try so hard. Some thing about removing stress from your life makes you so much more fertile! Anyway, it’s not like this is her only chance.

That is awful! I've had two breaks (100% due to inadequate lubrication/ maybe the condom fell off one time) and had to use plan B twice and it was really rough. The period afterward feels like a punishment. We use enough lube now and I am so happy not to be sending him off to the pharmacy (may I note he was always back within the hour). It sounds like he was banking on you tiring of taking plan B and deciding to take the risk. I have to say, though, it is so crazy you had to take plan B and still wanted to have sex that often. I was so irritable about it. 'Why didn't you check it!! How did you let it fall off!' That's a week right there, not interested sir. Also, forgot? He has never forgot. I never rely on pulling out when I am 'fertile' and still he never forgets. Maybe he'll be asking me to skip it but either I'll say no (and we are using a condom now) or I'm not fertile so it's fine (we will check it right then) but a bad habit// crazy low chance of actually being risky. Never been pregnant and not able to use hormonal birth control that safely apparently because I have migraines.

Bullying really changes people. I used to be a nice , shy, friendly, and happier kid. I had many friends. I was made front of in 5th - 9th. After 7th grade I started to become colder and not as friendly of fear of being made front of. She would always make it seem she was a victim and was better than us. In 9th I was bullied by same girl and cried . After that I wasn’t friendly and told her I didn’t like her. I was more shy and anti social to people and stayed with same group of friends through high school. I’m in 11th now. I moved schools still hate her and blocked her on insta .

Yeah… this brought me back to the situation my sister went through. Although I would never tell my 9 year old niece this, when my sister was 17 she and her boyfriend were experiencing relationship problems after he took her car out for a beer run with a friend that was old enough to get it. Basically when my sister woke up the next morning to get Starbucks for a hang over cure, she found her almost brand new ford fiesta hatchback in horrible condition. All four of the tires were torn apart and the rims were rubbed horribly, because of this the paint on the doors and lower part of her car was scratched.. she was extremely upset but he just told her his parents would pay for it because they are extremely rich. Though it did end up getting fixed like new, there was tension in the relationship and he must have known she was going to break things off because only a few weeks later, she found out she was pregnant. No one really suspected anything until my sisters friend Jessica found their box of condoms and asked if she could take them since Chelsea no longer needed them. Later on she opened the box for use but low and behold, they were all punctured with tiny holes in them. Nine years later he’s in prison for drugs and theft and doesn’t seem to care for my niece at all, only that Chelsea send him money and he hopes they’ll get back together one day. This is heartbreaking because Bonnie is an extremely sharp and talented child. Not that he would know this but she just got accepted to the fine arts school my sister and I went to and is also moving her way up to be a competitive skater. Luckily my sweet niece has a new baby brother stepdad Josh who has treated her as his own since she was a toddler and is now working on adopting her so that she can take his name.

Okay, so for the story about the wife lying about taking birth control, I 100% believe that woman had an outside person talking in her ear about this and talking negatively about her life. Her choice is her own, but her reaction to the deceit she did was weird, especially with how strong their relationship is.
@FluffishPuppy3 жыл бұрын
Yeah I don't know that she did it to babytrap the husband given her reaction. Tbh what I kind of thought was that the wife ran out of birth control or smth or realized the birth control was messing with her mental state and couldn't be bothered to take them anymore, thinking that since they never had a scare before, "how easy could it be to get pregnant". Given her reaction I almost think she's the one not ready to have a child, that's why she needed so much confirmation from the husband and ended up telling him anyway

I just went and got a vasectomy on Friday I can confirm it was so clean and easy. Also its not entirely reverse able theres only a 75% chance a reversing will work. Theres also a 1% chance you have terrible testicular pain for the rest of your life that can potentially be fixed but no guarantees But honestly you're in and out within an hour ur testicle hurt bout as much as like a light squeeze it dies hurt for a day to laugh or cough The hard part is finding a doctor that will do it if ur under 35 with no kids
@paracletelux2 жыл бұрын
This! Vasectomies are a great option for guys who want PERMANENT birth control. It should not be done if a guy thinks he might want kids one day. Spent some time getting treatment for male factor infertility, and fully half of the patients seeing my husband’s Urology/Andrology specialist were post-reversal, and were now severely infertile. Like, digging around in the testicle for a single viable sperm infertile. The longer the time between the vasectomy and the reversal, the lower the chances of the reversal restoring normal fertility. I’m all for men taking their half of the responsibility for birth control, but advertising vasectomy to be anything but permanent is not it.

As for the holes in condoms; it’s not so much as for the sperm to get through the hole but in the hopes it will split at or near the moment of ejaculation so they don’t work at all and he could say it just broke and he didn’t realize it. And her saying that they had split it seems that’s what he wanted to happen. If it doesn’t split on its own like with normal or even w rough sex he can manipulate the split by hand w o her knowledge. Either way he had no regard for her feelings not only because she didn’t want kids right now but for hiding the pills as if it was her problem or her fault they were gone. It’s emotional manipulation, emotional abuse and actual physical abuse.

I remember learning that a man's genes are the ones that decide the gender of the child in relation to king Henry and his 6 wives. He killed one and divorced another all because they couldn't produce a live male heir. He went as far as to smear the name of Anne Boleyn with lies of adultery and incest. He smeared the name of Katherine Howard with adultery as well, even when it's more likely that not only was she faithful but was instead faced with unwanted advances and was likely assaulted by the man she is accused of adultery with. So in laws can't be upset with her for having a girl.

TW for domestic violence. My ex was super controlling and wanted me to have kids according to HIS plan, when I was only 19. I don’t want kids and actually can’t have them myself, a fact that he threw in my face when I broke up with him. I found out later through mutual friends that he ended up dating a girl who looks eerily like me, and she “happened” to get pregnant during the timeline he was demanding of me. She left him after the baby was born because he became physically violent with BOTH of them. I was briefly friends with her, we compared notes and it was very helpful because we had both been gaslit so heavily. Long story short, there are witnesses that testified that they saw him putting drugs in her drink. Everyone had thought he was putting roofies or something similar in, but with testing that has been eliminated and the conclusion was that he was drugging her with antibiotics for a while. If you don’t know, antibiotics can actually cancel out the anti contraceptive in birth control pills, which is what they were relying on.

I have fertility issues all I want is a baby so much so where its really affected my mental health and cause my depression to get worsr... cause the one thing I KNOW I was meant to be, was a mom and everyone always tells me id be the best mom because I'm so great with kids im the only person who any of my friends have ever left their newborns with for an extended period of time because I know exactly what needs to be done to care for a child and im great at it (my BFF calls me the baby whisperer cause of how easy caring for children is for me - I moved in with her full time while her husband was deployed to help raise her boys and she always said I was the 3rd parent and she always got mad cause I had such an easy time taking care of them and balancing them when I had them by myself) .... One thing I can say is it does hurt, my best friend is pregnant with her 3rd child and when she told me i cried tears of joy for her but also tears of sadness for me.... it sucks when you're body won't do the one thing its meant to as a woman,, especially when you know of people who aren't great parents having kids so easily and they can't even stand their own children to the point where they try and pawn them off on everyone else so they don't have to deal with them only to continue having multiple kids.... its the worst feeling in the world knowing God chose (what feels like) everyone in the world to be a parent but you... BUT for as much as it hurts, especially when you see all your close friends and family having kids, it still doesn't mean you have the right to hate someone else for being pregnant..that wasn't Kim's life unfortunately Kim's life was meant to be more complicated than that and her body is what kept her from her perfect ending NOT her man's ex... she needs to realize that and get help both with her mental health and her fertility. Especially because as someone who KNOWS the pain of wanting a child more than anything and not being able to have one Kim should understand better than anyone what that pain would be like, to take another woman's baby(s) away from her just because you want your own....

Some of these situations are completely insane. However, I can validate that these things happen in relationships especially when people are not on the same page about this. You brought up a really good point about how it can be hard to leave someone your already invested in and been with for a long time, so it does make sense why people do this kind of thing. I am not saying this is ever justified and I agree with your point about either being on the same page or reevaluating the relationship. This speaks to my personal experience because I been in a long-term relationship with someone who wasn't on the same page. The only thing was that I never and still never want to have kids, but he never really had a stance. We were both young but did mention that he may expect children in the future. This isn't something you really discuss at the beginning of the relationship especially in college or high school and people do change. Now that I am single and older it's something I want to know right away. I agree that it's important that couples are on the same page about whether not to have children and every situation is different. I think there are people who may want children but okay having partner who doesn't but there are others where this may be a deal breaker. Regardless it is never okay to manipulate someone into having children without their consent. Another thing I got out of this is that this is not considered a crime and I think that is messed up. I did, however, get to thinking that is this different when women do this compared to men. As much as its terrible thing for anyone to do regardless of their gender and sex at least men don't have to carry the child like the women would unless they have access to abortion. You brought up a good point about how it's wrong for either partner in a relationship to make huge decisions without partner's consent. This also got me thinking about what if the case was the opposite. I would love to hear your thoughts and opinions on cases when the partner gets sterilized without the other persons consent or maybe the women decide to go on birth control when the other person is not okay with it. Do you see those situations different from baby trapping? Also do you think that there are certain decisions that person should be able to make without the other persons input but having a baby is not one of them? Anyways love to know your thoughts.

For the Surrogate story with the crazy gf, I hope she moves to a mother state and have her babies there. So everything will be in her favor and since they were not married she would be the only one to have full custody until court order says other wise. And hopefully the babies have her last name!

The story where the mother-in-law poked holes in the condoms to get them to have another baby is MESSED UP. Like I don't care if the mother-in-law is angry that they didn't have a boy, like GROW UP & GET OVER IT!!! I can also imagine the couple deciding to have the second baby and it's also a girl. Imagine how angry the mother-in-law would be then.

Oddly enough my husband thought I was the most attractive when I was pregnant and looked like a beached whale 😆. It was more than just physical though it was the process of me growing our family and he was so adorable with each pregnancy how much told me how I was beautiful. Marriage and relationships have to be more than skin deep.

The one point from the story with the bully that stands out to me is the sister saying she "went back on her word." No, she didn't. She said she'd think about it, and now that she has more information, she's saying no. She didn't go back on her word at all, and even if she had said yes in the moment, she wouldn't be wrong to reconsider after finding out about Jacob. Stories like these drive me insane. When are baby-crazy people going to learn that nobody owes them a child?

lol as Morgan was talking about how she doesn't know how people with kids do it I was listening while I was washing dishes with my newborn (5th child) strapped to my chest.
