Yes vervets love swimming, they normally live in riverine areas and can actually swim very well, mostly under water

Poor Buffy tried to comfort the babies and also had patience.It's good that you all don't make the babysitters stay in there unless they want to.And so glad that you all pay close attention to what's going on so you can make the right decision.

I just love seeing the way these monkeys are integrated into the society of monkeys. The way the adult females adopt the babies is so heart warming and it makes me respect the way nature and instinct takes over for the sweet, adorable babies. God Bless your organization and the wonderful work you do.

I didn’t know whether to laugh or cry watching this! Buffy sure tried, but with Ellyn hanging onto Mo for dear life, it sure made a wiggly mess for Buffy! And those squeals! I hope the next try goes better! What do you do with a baby that is just terrified and wants nothing to do with a prospective Mom? Just keep trying??? You guys are wonderful! ❤️❤️❤️

Do u ever get a baby who no matter what you do refuse to integrate with the moms and only want the human moms? If after long periods of trying and it not happening what would you do?

Lachanda Alexander we just continue to work at it. Eventually they grow older and more comfortable and integrate with the troop without a mom. But we’ve never had a baby that we couldn’t integrate eventually. And they never continue to crave human moms over monkey moms. The longer they are away from humans the more they lose the desire to be with humans. Eventually all they know is monkeys and things work out in their own way, but we would never bring them back to be with humans.
