also, here's a little info on why human babies are so useless compared to animals in the wild. human babies are actually born very, very early. in reality we'd want them to be born at around 1 1/2 years into development (so as a 1 1/2 year old baby would be), however due to our very large brains our heads are much larger than other animals in proportion to the rest of our bodies. this means that humans have to be born MUCH earlier, because if they were born 1 1/2 years into our development, our heads would be too big and would be significantly more likely to kill the mother or baby due to suffocation.
@webgpu3 жыл бұрын
because all human babies are born 'prematurely'. if they grew to the necessary size inside the womb, their heads couldn't pass the woman's canal. that's why babies are uncoordinated, because they didn't have enough time inside the womb to develop their motor system.
@alexisgrunden15563 жыл бұрын
They start eating meat even before their eyes open; their teeth grow in before they can even see. I'm not sure about weasels, but I know that captive mink often get injured because of this trait; still-blind baby mink will sometimes _chew off their mothers' nipples._ They look adorable, but they are 1000% predator; it's actually a damn good thing they're as teeny-tiny as they are.
